“You know, we’ll be tormented by it for a long time – I will be,” Tucker Carlson said. “And I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people. It was not intentional, that’s all I’ll say.”

Though Carlson in 1999 had referred to Trump as “the single most repulsive person on the planet”, he beat most pundits in calling for Trump to be taken seriously before he won his first presidency in 2016.

Trump recently published a social media post calling Carlson “a Low IQ person – Always easy to beat, and highly overrated!!!”

FFS now I agree with Trump ?

The damage is made, but maybe he'll be able to turn his conservative fan base against Trump!

[–] Gorilladrums@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago

Tucker Carlson stopped being your average grifter and started being a genuine national security threat when he literally fucking went to Moscow and personally interviewed Putin about the genocide he's committing in Ukraine

[–] fodor@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 hours ago

Of course it was intentional, but I bet he does regret it.

[–] VampirePenguin@lemmy.world 4 points 4 hours ago

Honestly, who gives a fuck. Disappear Tucker, you empty suit.

[–] Loce@lemmy.world 6 points 5 hours ago

Nah, fuck you tucker fuck, we don't forgive, we don't forget. You were and still are part of a problem.

You know that thing from The Da Vinci Code where Paul Bettany whipped himself?

I'll take 5000 hours of that, Carlson. Flog yourself for 5000 continuous hours without food, water or sleep, then I will allow you to reclaim the rank of Human.

[–] llama@lemmy.zip 3 points 4 hours ago

Like he would have backed anybody else instead

[–] ichwillhierraus@feddit.org 6 points 11 hours ago

It is funny when the moron fucks others, like latinos blacks and asians, but then he fucked with my mates! He cryed.

Fuck you Tucker, fuck You.

I need this on a T-shirt

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 25 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

In case of Tucker, unless he's ready to dump previously unknown information on his (former) cohorts, I don't think he can be forgiven. He's not some small figure, a leftist content creator that did a few mistakes in his career, or a former edgy teen obsessed with "funny slurs", he is a very well known right-wing talking head.

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 1 points 48 minutes ago

He’s not trying to pivot, which so many people in this thread are misunderstanding.

The problem with Trump is that he is bowing to Israel, and Tucker is a full Nazi now. This is patently clear if you listen to him. As someone who’s followed Nazi forums for like two decades now, he is speaking Nazi on his show. He is running down all of the absolutely classic Holocaust denier bits.

Forgiveness is for our selves, change must be accepted 🧘

Seppuku time, Mr.Carlson.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 18 points 22 hours ago

Never forget what they did, my American compatriots. Never forget.

They lied. They gaslit. They tried to break us.

Never forget.

Every supporter must be held accountable.

[–] laranis@lemmy.zip 40 points 1 day ago

"It was not intentional."

Fuck you, fuck you, and fuck you. Don't you dare try to retcon your selfish, evil, greedy contributions to the suffering of thousands (millions?). No quarter for anyone who harbored these selfish fucks.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 7 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

no he isnt, its like magats regretting voting for trump, or caitlyn jenner wants help soley for her trans problem. or roegan trying to play a never trumper.

I guess he's just not making as much money / as popular as when he was on TV and hates not being in the spotlight. He doesn't give a rat's ass about Trump and never has.

[–] okamiueru@lemmy.world 3 points 19 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

It's the explanation for every right winger: you're either a moron, or evil, thought most commonly a good mix of both.

The ones in the former camp need to repeatedly "learn from their mistakes". Unless you're in the latter category, one would think that any reasonable person should think "maybe opinions on how to do things is better left to others", but alas, a lack of such processes is a requirement for the moron bit.

In a few months, these people will have always been against Trump, and they'll hate us when we call them on it, because despite everything they've done so far, they still think they're better off than with a Democrat in charge.

[–] Keeponstalin@lemmy.world 46 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Tucker Carlson doesn't disagree with anything Trump has done, he's just smart enough to tell when to jump ship. This is a strategic move

[–] Jakeroxs@sh.itjust.works 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Eh, we have leaked emails from Fox news where Tucker did say he hated Trump and thought he was an idiot during the first admin, not that it stopped him from gargling his balls.

[–] Keeponstalin@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago

Yeah exactly, because Trump lacks any strategy. Just look how little manufacturing consent went into the Iran war compared to the Iraq war. Trump is so idiotic he says the quiet part out loud because He's too stupid to understand the point of dog whistles. Carlson wants a competent White Nationalist administration, his issue is with the incompetency.

But even so, whenever in public view, Carlson is very very deliberate and strategic with how he communicates white nationalism sentiments to his audience. He knows exactly the right way to broach topics, which words to hit, ect, in order to get the audience (be it MAGA or Liberals) on his side.

Tucker Carsalesman:

  • 2003: "Please Buy the Iraq War"
  • 2015: "I regret selling you the Iraq War, please buy this Trump"
  • 2026: "I Regret selling you this Trump, please buy this white nationalism"

Tucker Carlson draws scorn for new details over demonic attack: 'I'm not embarrassed'
Carlson confirmed to The Christian Post on Halloween last year that he believes he was "physically mauled" by an unseen force while he was sleeping on Feb. 20, 2023.

"Ephesians 6 is real," Carlson told CP at the time, referencing the chapter in the New Testament that teaches mankind is engaged in warfare "against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."

These fucking religious nutbag grifters

Looks like the right wing grift isn't working for this twat anymore and he wants to see if he can apologize his way into left wing grifting, or maybe just back into polite society.

Sorry bud, the average IQ on this side of the aisle is too high.

Tucker can stuff his apology, this isn't buyer's regret, his influence was outsized because of his platform and led to disastrous results.

[–] MunkyNutts@lemmy.world 49 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Fuck him, fuck them all. They knew exactly what they were doing and getting into. But once there's signs that the ship is sinking they all jump off like the rats they are. And if not and that's a big if not, then maybe he is just a "Low IQ person".

They are seeing that the end is finally coming into focus, and not only is MAGA going to be on the losing side, it's quickly becoming inevitable. And that end is going to be very, very ugly, with a lot of prison sentences, and perhaps even some death sentences.

So the slyest rats are starting to jump ship, while there is still a chance to grab some floating debris to escape on. He's just the first of many to follow.

[–] I_Has_A_Hat@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Lol. Would you like a unicorn with your side of nonsense?

Nothing is going to happen to these people. Not a damn thing. They will continue to be rich off of the money they stole and will grow old before dying in their mansions surrounded by family that think memaw and pop pop are great people.

Whats it take to make you people finally understand?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 4 hours ago

YOU are the problem. If you keep telling politicians that you expect them to do nothing, that's exactly what they'll do. They just go back to their insider trading, and ignore you, like you told them to do. Don't give them permission to be incompetent.

We are in unprecedented times, and we will require unprecedented solutions. We absolutely cannot fall back on the same morally and legally bankrupt political policies traditions that led us here. If we manage to recover Congress and the White House AGAIN, then they will have the obligation to follow the mandate of the voters, and DO THEIR JOB!

It's not like they'll have a choice. The government is in tatters now, imagine what it will be like in 2 years? The government will need to be completely rebuilt. Thousands of government workers will be invited back to their jobs. Entire agencies will have to be reformed, and MAGA hires and appointees investigated and fired or indicted. Nobody hired by MAGA can remain.

As long as we have to rebuild, we can go in any direction we want. We don't have to rebuild the same broken system that brought us to this point.

And we absolutely can't allow them to let MAGA off the hook, "for the good of the country." America can't recover, and can't redeem itself in the eyes of its Citizens, the World, and History, until MAGA has been decisively crushed, and purged from our government, and society.

[–] Poojabber@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Well, you sure are the hopefull sort... me? Not so much. Who do you forsee going to jail? I doubt anyone is getting more than a slap on the wrist, or much more than a Tucker Carlson style "I guess we shouldnt have done that... but we didnt mean it" style apology, if that. Death sentence? Hahaha not happening.

But heres to you mate! Never wished I was on the wrong side of a discussion more than now.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

YOU are the problem. If you keep telling politicians that you expect them to do nothing, that's exactly what they'll do. They just go back to their insider trading, and ignore you, like you told them to do. Don't give them permission to be incompetent.

We should be telling them every chance we get that we will absolutely NOT tolerate their political cowardice any longer. We are in the mood for change, and we will gladly swap out any recalcitrant Democrats, right along with the MAGAs.

And they are getting the message. Last Fall, as Americans were going hungry, they stuck with the shutdown, until it hit the airports, and their wealthy campaign donors couldn't maneuver their operatives around the country. So the Dems fully surrendered, with nothing in return, and the Dem voters went NUTS, and it scared them, especially Jeffries. Schumer is too blinded by his greed and allegiance to Israel to umderstand how much he is despised. When this is over, he deserves a noose as much as any MAGA.

So this time when the shutdown hit the airports, the Dems knew to just let it play out, and it was glorious. It only hurt those flying during Spring Break, which is mostly rich people anyway. They were forced to stand in line for hours, contemplating the wisdom of their MAGA vote. This time the shutdown hurt MAGA as intended, and it continues to hurt them.

We need to apply a LOT more pain on both sides, and make them FEAR our massive angry numbers more than they fear the tiny minority of wealthy. Then we can force them to submit to our demands when we take the government back.

[–] pfried@reddthat.com 3 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago) (1 children)

The way to cause pain on both sides is to primary the Democrats who aren't helping and vote against all Republicans because none of them are helping. If you vote against Democrats in the general election, you are not causing pain to both sides. You're telling Republicans to continue.

[–] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago

The People lose. Always.

The few may go to jail for a bit. But they will live better in jail than millions of people they stole from.

They stole the present and the future, while trying to rewrite the past.

The society and economy left in the aftermath of these cancerous personalities is going to piss me off on the daily.
