Just wondering, what is your experience regarding shoes that are from EU?

Jack&Jones, Lacoste and Adidas are my favourites.

I would get a pair of Solovair if I had the money: https://eu.nps-solovair.com/

[โ€“] pi3r8@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I have a pair of solovair, they are extremely well built. I would also say lanx shoes are good and they sometimes have really good deals on their site.

I have some, totally worth it

Portuguese shoes for farmers. Sold on the local market, cheap, solid - or overpriced and rebranded in stores all over Europe. You get them in several levels of fancy, starts at 25โ‚ฌ a pair.

Man i keep wondering whats the deal with portuguese and shoes! It's like making indistructible shoes is part of the fucking constitution of Portugal

[โ€“] aegg@europe.pub 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Can you show an example of those? I'm going to Portugal soon and would like to buy new shoes while I'm there.

[โ€“] schmorpel@slrpnk.net 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

This one with shoelaces, there's also in smooth leather and without shoelaces, all similar shape like these.

[โ€“] aegg@europe.pub 1 points 3 days ago

Those look great, thank you! I will try to find some in the market

Sievi. I use almost exlusively their shoes. Not the cheapest around, but for my feet they're the best I've found so far.

Vivobarefoot https://www.vivobarefoot.com/fr/

They are brits but hey not so far

Mukishoes. Very comfortable, leather ones are waterproof. Zero drop. They will resole them when the sole wears out.

Wildlings are very very comfortable, but the ones with the split sole fall apart after a couple years.

Fluchos, made in Spain (La Rioja)

German Hanwag. Their โ€wideโ€ models are the only shoe models I have never had to break in. Their terrain soles wear quickly on asphalt or concrete, but they have a selection of flatter urban soles.

Currently very happy wearing Axel Arigato sneakers. Swedish brand, manufactured in Portugal.

They really produce much in Europe? I thought most of their production is in Asia.

They also still AFAIK operates in Russia.

I enjoyed Jalas boots but I should kept better care of my jalas fantom drylock boots, got a hole in them and can't fix like regular leather. Or can but the waterproofing won work

Meindl shoes from Germany, although i am not sure if they are actually made in Germany anymore

According to Wikipedia, their shoes branded "Meindl" are manufactured in Europe (Germany, Hungary, Slowenia and Italy).

[โ€“] bufalo1973@piefed.social 4 points 1 week ago

Joma (Spanish) are good ones. Also Paredes.

Had very poor experiences with durability of Veja shoes. I've use 2 pairs nd they both broke down within weeks...

[โ€“] claimsou@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Not surprised. It happened to one of the 3 I had. But I got it replaced for free .

[โ€“] jol@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 1 week ago

Sadly because I didn't buy it from them directly, I didn't have that choice. But really made me distrust them as a sustainable option...

[โ€“] Griffus@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 week ago

Resently bought my first pair of Mustang shoes. Designed in Germany and made in Portugal.

[โ€“] fitjazz@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

If you are into barefoot shoes Tadeevos are about as barefoot as you can get and I love them.

[โ€“] gopher@programming.dev 3 points 1 week ago

LOWA makes most of their shoes in Europe. I think mostly the trail runners are not. Excellent quality.

[โ€“] Kjell@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I have had two pair of shoes made in EU, Myrqvist and Wojas. I have not had the shoes from Wojas for a long time but so far they seem to be good. The shoes from Myrqvist was wearing down a bit fast than I hoped for.

Which ones ship to the states? I bought shoes little over a month ago and it is already developing holes. Normally I buy xero shoes but the tarrifs on China has made it less affordable
