This was a picture shared by a Marine aboard a Navy aircraft carrier (USS Abraham Lincoln), not soldiers (that would be the Army, and implies ground troops in my mind). Second, I asked a friend who served like 10 years in the Navy and he said "oh yeah shit like this is just kinda normal. looks good compared to what we got sometimes!" That said I wouldn't even feed this to a stray animal.
Imagine the US forced to retreats because their soldiers start to fall sick from malnutrition.

Because the deployment was abrupt as last ditch attempt to distract the people from Epstein files. The logistics hasn't been prepared adequately for deployment. Basic military knowledge teaches that supply is paramount for any operations. I think the previous chief of staff was sacked because he disagreed with off the whim decision to deploy troops without adequate preparations.

Lol our military feeds soldiers how our hospitals feed the poor and our schools feed the poor and our prisons feed the poor.
I went to public school on welfare and got the free lunch, which was a full lunch from whatever menu you chose from.
I was a poor kid in a very rich town.
So at some point they definitely didn’t treat poor kids like shit, everywhere.

WW2 field rations were revolutionary for the time, and US troops rarely went unsupplied (Axis forces often had missing food supplies all the time. The Japanese and Russians had it particularly bad). But the field rations were often described as being unfilling and didn't provide enough calories as needed. But they were not as bad as many people make them out to be. Granted if I had to eat nothing but those rations for weeks on end I'd be a very sad soldier.

I doubted the validity of it but there has been news articles. It's the sailors on the ships in the Gulf of Oman who are running out of food. They probably had to forego replenishment because of the sheer unpredictability and chaos in their operations caused by the Trump admin's incompetence.
Yeah, a good strategic leader of the forces would be looking at supply chains, timing, weather, and more factors than I know about, and all that is ruined by a overriding idiot like trump saying full speed ahead, no wait backup, OK now turn broadside for a photo op

When you hear vets from the past saying they risked their life for our freedoms, you don’t get to say that anymore. If you won’t risk jail or a dishonorable discharge for your country then you definitely won’t risk your life for it. Which is exactly why the current military are either craven losers or authoritarian white supremacists. A bad look, if you ask me. This is their choice, and they made it. We should force them all to lay in that bed for as long as this country remains.

Normally when you start a war there is months of planning and prep to make sure all your troops stay armed, fueled, and fed. You don't 'yolo, war tomorrow' and ship eveyone out.
