My phone, my wallet, more germs than your average bioweapons lab.

EDIT: Forgot the pack of tissues, because I'm always sick.

I ALWAYS bring my sunglasses with me, it doesn’t matter what the weather is, because if it gets sunny while I’m out, I need them to see because my blue eyes are hypersensitive, basically making it painful to open my eyes outside.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I wear cargo pants. I like pockets.

Top left: phone
Bottom left: tissues if I'm going hiking
Back left: nothing
Top right: keys, pocketknife, lighter
Bottom right: leash, roll of dog shit bags
Back right: wallet
Clipped to belt, under waistband, right side: Sig Sauer p365 x-macro

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 2 points 5 days ago

Nope. I hold the phone with my left hand and tap it with my right.

[–] Digestive_Biscuit@feddit.uk 2 points 6 days ago

It depends on what I'm wearing as to how many pockets I have and where I'm travelling to.

The usual are

2 phones, keys, inhaler, 2 Pokémon auto catchers.

[–] WolfLink@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 days ago

Phone, wallet, keys, and headphones

The guilt of not living up to the expectations of my ancestors nor future generations

Fuck em. Talking chimps, the lot of em.

[–] Iconoclast@feddit.uk 27 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (5 children)

Not shown in the pic: 1 meter keychain tape measure.

[–] CelloMike@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago (4 children)

FYI it's possible to create duplicate keys from pictures of them, so I wouldn't recommend posting pictures of your keys online

[–] Iconoclast@feddit.uk 25 points 1 week ago

I'm aware but not worried.

[–] Zak@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's true, but most people with that skill can also pick locks.

[–] Iconoclast@feddit.uk 5 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (3 children)

Picking isn't really an option when it comes to Abloy disc detainer locks as you need a custom built device to pick it along with the skills to use it. However, anyone can just break the window and open the door from inside which is why I'm not particularly worried. That and the fact that I barely own anything worth stealing in the first place.

Mostly just my phone. I don't need keys because my implants let me open doors at home and at work, and I don't need a payment card because I also have a payment implant.

[–] CelloMike@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How do you fare in airport scanners?

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 9 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (3 children)

They don't ring. They're much too small.

The only minor danger I was afraid of was being unable to go through MRI machines with those of my implants that have a ferrite core - i .e. small glass implants. But it turns out, they're completely unaffected - at least up to 2T, which was the strongest MRI field I went through. They do warp the MRI scan pretty badly around them though 🙂

Did you put that in yourself? It doesn't look like a small needle. Did you get a glow or light up one? How do you keep the information safe? Sorry, so many questions. And it's a lot cheaper than I was thinking.

[–] RattlerSix@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

Now you've done it. Here come the EDC people

Not a lot, my pockets are tiny. Currently I have one tissue.

My handbag/rucksack, however:

A wallet
A carabiner
Paracetamol
Travel sickness chewing gum
A fold up shopping bag with cats and dogs on it
Loops ear plugs
Documents the hospital gave me
Sunglasses
Glasses cleaning cloth
Tiny snacks
Hand sanitizer
Ear buds
A bottle of water
A bag of googly eyes 👀
My passport

  • Guitar pick
  • Wireless/Contactless waterproof keyfob for my car (I finally found a good use for that pocket-inside-a-pocket on jeans)
  • Snus
  • Cardholder (Regular debit card, two credit cards, misc other cards I "always" need)
  • Phone
  • Bluetooth airbuds

If I'm wearing a jacket, its pockets also adds:

  • Wallet (with passports, seamans book, misc currencies, TWIC, WHO vaccine booklet, misc warehouse access cards, a bunch of airline frequent flier cards)
  • Tiny multitool
  • Pen
  • Syringe needle that I've cut to be blunt, in a protective casing. It's excellent for those tiny reset buttons on hardware
  • USB-C cable
  • USB thumb drive

Messenger bag. I don't like carrying stuff in the pockets of my pants, jackets etc., especially sharp and heavy-ish things like keys, and I like keeping lots of stuff on me when I leave my home.

[–] 7uWqKj@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

That’s not really a riddle, but I’ll give you three guesses.

[–] moondoggie@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Fob, phone, fountain pen, fwallet

[–] socsa@piefed.social 5 points 1 week ago

A roll of hundreds and a box of magnum condoms for my monster dong.

Right front - keys, nail clipper, microfiber cloth, car key on a suspension clip https://www.amazon.ca/Essivox-Suspension-Hanging-Portable-Outdoor/dp/B0FVXG72DZ

Left front - phone, Pixel 6a with GrapheneOS in a thin rubber case.

Right rear - Gerber Dime on a suspension clip

Left rear - folding box cutter, it has it's own clip

Right cargo pocket - wallet and a coin organizer https://www.amazon.ca/Merangue-Accessories-Clutter-Free-Alternative-Automotive/dp/B09QKQY4SV

Left cargo pocket - two small hand sanitizer bottles one of which contains unscented hand soap, a touch screen stylus (sometimes I wear warm gloves while shopping due to a freezing cold cart handle)

Besides obvious keys, phone, etc? Toilet paper.

Asking the important questions.

[–] gigastasio@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago

The unrelenting dread and fear of something horrifying and terrible happening to the ones I love.

The lingering resentment and intense loathing towards an ex spouse who abused me daily for almost 15 years.

Dead Tamagotchi from 1998 to remind myself of my failures as a caregiver.

The ever-evolving concept for a music album that perfectly encapsulates my life experiences, from the good to the awful, and what they’ve taught me about myself.

Deadpool keychain charm.

[–] felixwhynot@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

!edc@sopuli.xyz is a place to discuss such!

For me I carry a bag with a bunch of junk, besides phone/keys it’s mostly like chapstick and tissues tho

[–] blackn1ght@feddit.uk 4 points 1 week ago

Phone. If I've used the car, the car keys too.

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago

Cellphone, keys, wallet, and my heart and soul that my daughter gave me when she was 3 (small pink plastic heart and a pearly marble; 7+ years now, leaving them out only when doing something where I might lose them).

[–] luthis@lemmy.nz 4 points 1 week ago

I'm a photo nerd. Uhhh... keys, flashlight, swiss army knife, phone, pocket camera (Ricoh GR III), wallet. If I go anywhere I usually pick up a bigger camera (Nikon Z fc, or if I get serious, the D780, with 50mm / 24-120mm / 70-300mm lenses). There's also a whole lot of random mystery stuff in my bags. I don't want to think about that stuff too much, I'll just get a headache
