Don't share it here, there are other places to find it. Discussion of piracy is fine.
We don't want us moderators or the admins of lemmy.world to get in trouble for linking to piracy. Therefore, any link to piracy will be removed. Discussion of it is of course allowed.

Yep someone decided to name their game Abaddon also (my game page and demo was up at least a year before) I have no idea why steam would allow two games with the exact same name ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ

Quick feedback on the experience of casually browsing to your steam page: the trailer that autoplays spends the first ~20s being mostly just black. First person view of running and then hiding in a closet, then black, then a very dimly lit room, with cuts to what looks like the player inspecting a doll. I can't have sound on right now, so I don't know if there is interesting audio happening.
I highly recommend those first few seconds of the autoplay trailer showing something more compelling. IMO the best case outcome for someone in my shoes is, I see something in those first few seconds that makes me go "oooo, hell yeah, that looks interesting" and I click Add to Wishlist. Instead my first thought was "there's no way this has just been black for 20s" and checked my brightness settings to see if I was missing something.

I am working on a new trailer at the moment, Although I must say, I think you might have a bug, there are no more than 3 consecutive seconds where it's all just black, it may show things differently on some devices.
Either way this trailer is temporary, I'm not that good at marking / trailers and stuff, and I know it is very important.

No, pretty sure I haven't played it, but the name rang a bell. Probably because alphabetically it shows up pretty early when you're looking for games back on the 'ol warez listings.
Was this in any way inspired by Hell House? Iโm only asking because of the name Abaddon. Haha. Iโll check this out once it is released!

I know right?! The demo had been up for a long time, I feel like it's important for players to have the chance to see if they can enjoy the game before they pay for it, it's the only right thing to do, especially if you are an unknown indie developer ๐
