I'd say in this old question "are we bodies or do we have bodies?" It's the prior. Deduct your ability to question your existence and...you just do. A tardigrade does have that spark of life too. But what is it? Nothing special I'd argue. Us speculating about this is just the epitome of that spark. A gift, a curse (looking at how our species acts, I'd say the latter)...but just something that happened and multiplicated successfully.

Even Desasters like "forspoken" haven't seen a notable discount despite its abysmal ratings. And it's still sold. The garbage happening with gta5 now? It's just ridiculous what happens in the gaming-industry and they still get away with everything all the time.

If maybe 70% of people stopped buying AAA it might trigger change. But 1 idiot that buys tons of ingame-shit replaces 20 critical customers.

Actually sad. I'm a gamer since pacman and pong. And I paid 70 bucks for the cartridges back then. No regrets. Then I went pirate for fun, then went legit and now pirate again (except for indie). That's sad. Same with streaming like Netflix.

You're right, but it's also annoying that many people just totally don't care for anything, And those are what bring markets down. AAA has become such a lackluster shitfactory in the last decade it's baffling. But they still sell their shit, prices don't even matter. Amount of stupid DLCs don't matter...nothing really does. They could release a game that just literally flips you the bird and IGN (and the likes) would still say 7/10. Shit gets hyped and sold. The handful of critical customers converge to zero I assume. Neglectable.

I'm totally no consolero, but why would anyone choose a switch with the limited amount of disgustingly expensive games over a steam-deck? The controllers? The color? Why?

In the us? 1m is shit, unless you have a great insurance. Elsewhere, 1m is decent if you invest wisely.

Und wie stark oder nicht der Drang ist, dem der Grossteil des Tierreichs unterworfen ist, wäre eine sinnlose Diskussion. Es ist nunmal essentiell für uns alle. Andernfalls sprächen wir hier auch gar nicht. Ich hatte mal 2 Hunde (unfreiwillig) und es war wahrlich kein Spass denen regelm. zuzusehen beim Nicht-auslebendürfen ihrer Triebe.

Klar zwänge mich niemand dazu, aber wenn es niemand täte würden wir überschwemmt mit Nachwuchs. Und wie man dieses "Problem" lösen würde, ist ja bekannt. Aber es ist ja auch nicht nur die Unbequemlichkeit einer Hündin die Hose anzuziehen. Sie leben halt mit dem unglaublich starken Trieb zur Fortpflanzung. Denen wir ihnen schlicht versagen, aus Gründen die nur existieren weil Haustiere existieren. Ein Dilemma dem ich mich nie aussetzen würde. Wenn du dich zur Keuschheit entscheidest, weißt du ja worum's geht und wozu du's tust und könntest jederzeit wieder aufhören. Der Hund darf einfach nicht, will aber, und muss damit leben. Für immer. Aber nunja, unpopuläre Meinung, ist mir schon klar.

Du magst deinen Vierbeiner nicht als Eigentum sehen (damit bist du dann sicher schonmal nicht in der Mehrheit), aber er ist es rechtlich trotzdem.

Habe nicht behaptet, Altersarmut gäbe es nicht. Und man kann vielleicht nicht hellsehen, aber sehr wohl vorausplanen. Wir wissen wie Kapitalismus und Inflation funktioniert :) Mein Einkommen ist jetzt geringer als ca 5x was ich bräuchte und ich habe keine Ersparnisse/Immobilien? Dann ist Altersarmut (in 20 Jahren) recht gut möglich. Mir dann ein Tier zu holen, daß pro Lebensjahr mehr Geld braucht als im vorigen und auch ca. diese 20 Jahre lebt? Nö. Das Tier bestrafen weil ich zu kurzsichtig bin? Für einen Hund ist das mehr als traumatisch plötzlich weg zu müssen.

Ich bin vor ca 25 Jahren in Rente gegangen mit dem Wunsch nicht weniger Spaß/Hobbies heute zu haben als damals. Die Inflation ist sogar geringer als ich es erwartet/berechnet hatte. Wurd aber wieder ausgegelichen mit den Hobbies die erheblich teurer wurden. Etc. etc.

Manchen ist es einfach nur egal und sie wollen halt unbedingt ein Tier/Kind/whatever. Jeder wie er mag. Es dann aber auf die Altersarmut zu schieben? Die ist mies , unfair und ungerecht und sollte nicht existieren, tut sie aber.
