We don't have to imagine it. Across the border, right now the cartels are attacking the cities and setting them on fire. It's not on the level of Russia attacking Ukraine, but still, a little unsettling.

The greenhorns back east have no idea what is going on, out here on the western frontier.

"Ohio isn't in the midwest."

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 7 points 8 hours ago

The Midwest ends somewhere around poland/the northern Baltics in that map, I was under the impression that those areas have been freaked out.

Imagine having fully operating concentration camps where people from all over the country is arbitrarily "detained" and put in, and just going about your day like usual.

Prior to 1945, this kind of thing happened every 30 years somewhere in Europe. It’s kind of the usual

[–] aesthelete@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

We did that already, but with Minnesota.

Russia can just have Ohio.

Ohio isn't even a real state.

Ever meet anyone from Ohio?

Of course you haven't.

Oh, you have? That was a CIA agent.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago

So when am I getting my back pay from the CIA?

[–] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 3 points 8 hours ago

Ohio isn’t even a real state.

Yes it is, do you know how many zoomers spent the last 5 years in a state of constant Ohio?

[–] CADmonkey@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I thought that was Wyoming?

[–] captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 1 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

No, Wyoming is spare Colorado, if Colorado falls off we can replace it with Wyoming.

[–] CptEnder@lemmy.world 4 points 9 hours ago

I mean Ohio already looks like a warzone anyway

[–] RickyRigatoni@piefed.zip 13 points 15 hours ago

There is an active war in Ohio.

[–] cosmicrookie@lemmy.world 91 points 21 hours ago (3 children)

And Florida is killing people they don't like

[–] jimmy90@lemmy.world 1 points 15 minutes ago

quite and i think ohio is where a small civil war will happen when the trump regime is collapsing

[–] FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 74 points 20 hours ago

We don’t have to imagine that one.

And off the coast of Florida (a genocide & very soon another war).

But at least Alaska/Greenland is uncertain for some reason.

[–] Gork@sopuli.xyz 47 points 21 hours ago (5 children)

Isn't just living in Ohio the same as being in an active warzone?
