These people were waiting for years, maybe even decades, to finally get to shoot a human in their own county. It's incredibly scary. 1000008613

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 8 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

If this is what they are doing in public they are doing much worse behind closed doors

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

most def. the conditions people are facing in custody must be ghastly if this is what they think they can get away with in public

[–] boogiebored@lemmy.world 25 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Wild he not only point blank shot, but there was possibility of cross fire and he fired directly next to another person's ear.

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 11 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

These guys were hired en masse and vetted by AI, we can't really expect them to understand gun safety.

[–] tocopherol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 12 hours ago

You're not wrong, but this particular motherfucker has worked for Border Patrol for 8 years. I see a lot of people talking about untrained, inexperienced thugs, and they are, but this is what they do with training and experience.

Tim Walz needs to activate the National Guard, state police, and local police to protect the community of the Twin Cities from fascist invasion and occupation.

Else, ICE will keep killing, and it's only a matter of time before regular citizens take up protection for themselves.

And they're right to do so.

[–] Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca 18 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

The National Guard was activated yesterday, by Tim Walz, to protect police and property; not the people.

(S)

[–] Resonosity@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yes, it was activated.

But as you say, not to protect the People of Minnesota.

Tim Walz is a cuck

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 9 points 20 hours ago

He is doing his job to protect property and power just like every other fascist in the country.

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The state police were apparently tear gassing protestors right after the murder.

[–] Resonosity@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 day ago

ACAB. We already know that the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) in Minnesota are siding with ICE.

Tim Walz doesn't have to, and he's the Commander in Chief in Minnesota.

WTF? That was an execution! It was literally a firing squad! Every one of those Apes should get the death penalty.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

In a firing squad, all but one or two rifles are firing blanks so that no single shooter would ever know for certain that it was their bullet, and therefore it wouldn't weigh on their conscience.

These people all wanted in on it.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 6 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

I was taught that all the rounds are live, except one, so the victim takes multiple shots, but every shooter can convince themselves that they had the blank round, and didn't kill.

Otherwise you take a chance on those one or two shots not being mortal, and having to reload.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 hour ago

You might be correct

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

You gotta be a monster for that to make any difference for yourself.

[–] coredev@programming.dev 5 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

Genuine question - the agent firing the gun will go to trial, yes? Federal agents in the US can not just kill random people in the without going to trial before an objective court?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 9 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

It may take time, but he will be prosecuted. So will Renee Good's murderer.

Don't listen to the trolls, they said the same thing about George Floyd's killers, who are sitting in prison at this moment.

[–] French75@slrpnk.net 5 points 19 hours ago

In the time since George Floyd's murder, much has changed. The courts are much more in Trumps pocket, and to the extent that they can male this a federal case, he'll just pardon the murderers again.

In the mean time, the Dems will focus on stepping on their own necks to prevent the GOP from doing it.

[–] KingPorkChop@lemmy.ca 3 points 20 hours ago

It may take time, but he will be prosecuted. So will Renee Good’s murderer.

Also, if you concentrate and push hard enough, monkeys will pop out of your butt.

I think many people think things will eventually go back to "normal". MAGA isn't going to let that happen. The democrats are far too weak and have no idea how to fight MAGA brainwashing. The only plus side is MAGA is nothing without Trump. When he dies, if the US hasn't gone full civil war, then MAGA might start to die.

I think MAGA wants a civil war though. They're have too much fun killing people in Minnesota and these inbred fucks probably can't wait to roll tanks into a city and open fire.

If you lean left, these people want you dead.

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 3 points 20 hours ago

Hahahahaha, he wont see the inside of a squad car let alone a jailhouse or courtroom.

[–] BeardededSquidward@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

Didn't look like he was fighting at all, it was them getting in each other's way.

[–] Randomgal@lemmy.ca 3 points 15 hours ago

Bro was literally face down in the floor being held down by 5 people. I'd say this is a Mexican execution, but pretty sure narcos in the jungle are more organized and disciplined than this.

[–] arrow74@lemmy.zip 10 points 22 hours ago

Plus he was pepper sprayed moments before

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 5 points 19 hours ago

RIP Mr. Pretti. I agree with all those that accuse ICE of an execution.

[–] slaacaa@lemmy.world 52 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

MAGAs after a school shooting: “Stay away from my guns! The second amendment protects me from a tyraniccal government! 😎🇺🇸🦅”

MAGAs when a tyrannical government murders somebody who was exercising his constitutional rights by concealed carrying with a permit: “He had a gun! He’s a domestic terrorist! 🫨🚨🤬”

Fuck. This is so disgusting, it is so infuriating. Straight up murder of a US citizen, a good man, a better man than any of these fucking cockroaches.

This one is even more brutal than I could have imagined. Do note that the same person who murders this man is also the same one who was pepper spraying someone who was slipping on ice and couldn't stand.

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 52 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Yep, that's an execution. So disgusting to see people defending this on other social media platforms.

I had to keep jumping back to the start after the shots were fired because I couldn't tell which one was firing. I saw the one guy remove the gun from his belt, but I didn't actually see anyone pointing a gun at him when the shots went off. Silly me... I had been assuming it was one of any of the 5 guys actively struggling with him. I didn't realize it was the guy standing next to them trying to find a way to pepper spray him in the face (again) before reacting to the sight of a gun on his person that was immediately removed by a colleague by grabbing his own gun and unloading a clip into the guy.

Absolutely no justification for this, not even a long shot excuse about being in fear of his life. The gun wasn't in his hand, it was removed from his person entirely, and 4 other guys were actively restraining him down in a crouching position. The shooter was in absolutely no danger.

I don't know if this was cowardice and odiocy that resulted in an unreasonable fear response because these guys are just basement dwelling bigots that were handed guns and badges without any real screening or training, or if the guy has just been itching to shoot someone and he saw the gun in his belt as his excuse/opportunity.

Side note, even if I were an evil fascist racist small pricked ICE agent that fully supported killing this innocent bystander... I'd still be pretty fucking pissed that the dude fired on a guy that me and my 4 friends were actively dog piling on.

It wasn't fear, it was immasculation. They killed the guy because they were frustrated they couldn't pin him down.

Wow. That is so clear. You can see the agent watch the gun pulled from the back and once it was removed the agent shot him.

[–] e8CArkcAuLE@piefed.social 69 points 1 day ago

and he’s even aiming for a good moment, it’s not that he upholstered and inadvertently gave off a shot, he did pull the trigger in a conscious and determined action

Thank you for posting this. This is the clearest version I have seen and really lets you see how truly fucked up this is. Anyone still defending ICE/CBP cannot be taken seriously.

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 38 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He never pulled his gun. He never reached for it. He's innocent and it's irrefutable.

[–] x00z@lemmy.world 4 points 23 hours ago

Not to mention he was disarmed already before the first shot went off.

[–] Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca 70 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I had been struggling to see who exactly fired the first shot; but here it appears to be the brown shirt in a black toque and mask that's center screen for most of this video.

He watched the grey coat remove Alexs firearm, which means he knew he was shooting at an unarmed target.

The rest reacted to shots fired, unsure of where they came from; but still went WAY over board, shooting and continuing to shoot an unmoving target that posed no threat.
