I have a clinical colleague who worked in the US for a few years. I think their description of US healthcare is best summarized as follows. Has the potential to be the greatest on Earth. In reality, the quality of care provided is far below European standards. She was mortified to discover that diabetics routinely had below knee amputations whereas in the rest of the world, with the exact same clinical picture, care would be provided to prevent worsening of diabetic foot.
The Republican eugenics plan is working.

It’s what the people wanted so let them have it. MAGAts need to feel the consequences of their own actions.
It’s what less that 30% of the population wanted.
A problem is that with our system of government, if you have .001% majority in all three branches the other 49.9999% get absolutely no say in anything.

I both welcome and dread the day.
Yeah, I think a lot of people want to speedrun this happening without realizing that in reality it's just gonna lead to a lot more crime and a lot lower quality of life.
The glorious revolution that results in a brand new glorious era for America is not that likely to happen in this scenario. Most revolutions don't really turn out that great, if you ever even get to the revolution phase as everyone is just robbing and killing each other out of desperation.
We already got the 1% robbing us blind into the grave. It would be nice to make this into an mutual arrangement.

Remember when the government was shut down specifically because the Democrats refused to go along with a bill that ended the health insurance subsidies, and they had the Republicans up against the ropes because no matter how much they tried to dodge the responsibility, the majority of people blamed Republican intransigence for the shutdown?
Then remember how the Schumer-led Democrats just completely folded, passed the bill, then stood idly by as the chance to extend the subsidies vanished?
Every single one of those stinking traitorous shitbags needs to be primaried.
So, the problem is the “primaried” thing isn’t enough at this point. People are going to die because of these choices. Eye for an eye.

Real talk, why the fuck hasn't there been a West Wing-esque or some sort of satirical tv series that literally just showcases exactly what has been going on for the past 2 decades? Sure there was House of Cards and what not, but I'm talking a literal 1-to-1 copy of all the shit Trump and Republicans have done for 20 years?
That would be more valuable than all the fucking ads and text messages we receive from the DNC, combined.

It's going to be another tough year funneling taxpayer money to billionaires and corporations. Midterm elections are the best most peaceful route to making 2027 a better year. In the meantime tighten your belt and hunker down.

Conservatives would crucify Jesus Christ if he returned from the dead. Too woke.
I mean his return would go over badly in general... He basically preached how people shouldn't worship him and make a religion out of him like all the time. He would probably shun most of his 2.6 billion followers if they didn't reform the entire basis of their religion.
That's not even to mention supply side Christianity... I don't think Jesus can smite or is even allowed to harm, but I am sure he would have some scathing notes for his dad who is much less hesitant about causing harm.
It's so sad that these republicans can never fully comprehend the depths of how much the Jesus they worship would absolutely loathe them.
There'd be whole books written about feeding the poor, housing the homeless, healing the sick, dining with the sinners, and deprogramming the republicans.

And isn’t there still that stupid law in place saying you have to have health coverage and get like a 1095-C stating which months you did, otherwise they penalize you on your taxes and potentially jail?
