We in c/Neoliberal support:

Neoliberals can be found in many political parties and we are not dogmatic supporters of specific parties. But we tend to find ourselves agreeing more often with parties that espouse liberal values, internationalism and centrist economics, such as the Democrats in the US, Liberal Democrats in the UK, FDP in Germany, Renaissance/MoDem in France, the Liberal Party in Canada, and so on.

Ontarian here. Every time I hear of a USA manufacturer going under because Canada stopped buying their stuff, I find myself smiling.

To the Americans in the crowd that don't agree with the child in charge, do something about it. Please. There's nothing I want more than to stop worrying about how much it will cost to ship something over the border.

Most of you are cool, except Jeff, fuck that guy. You know what you did.

Elon's a major twat too, but I guess he isn't a real America.

[–] Bakkoda@sh.itjust.works 7 points 17 hours ago

American companies making goods on the backs of Americans than can no longer afford the goods they are making.

[–] JohnSmith@feddit.uk 16 points 22 hours ago

Canadian companies and Universities are already collaborating extensively with EU partners in a number of programs. I for one want to see that expand. They are good partners.

Yeah, Québec here. Fuck you USA choke on a pedo's dick, please self-destruct your stupid country before your pedo-oligarch destroy the entire world. We were never friend but now we're ennemies. Beubye là.

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 1 points 20 hours ago

Québécois acting as though there are people they don't despise, lol. I can appreciate your America hate but this feels almost like a compliment: not just average Québécois loathing but special Québécois loathing. A joyeux noel to you too!

Also Canada: Don't make me burn your fucking white house down again!

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Also Canada: Ignore the child bones buried under those boarding houses.

I've no love for the Catholic church and Canadian mistreatment of First Nations, but what does this have to do with US bullying Canada despite long standing good relations between the two countries?

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Nationalism is cancer, in all its forms.

[–] yucandu@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

That's America too.

That would be the christian faith, not the Canadian government.

Also the US did far worse and has never even tried to talk about it.

[–] PlaidBaron@lemmy.world 18 points 23 hours ago

[–] Mongostein@lemmy.ca 15 points 1 day ago

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 1 day ago

They're doing it themselves, no need to do it for them

Canada is a better, more chill USA that can be a great partner to the EU without any "I'm bigger tha you" kinda attitude. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 20 points 1 day ago

Until we're not.

Then it's all: You can't do that Canada! That's against the Geneva Conventions!

Canada: Bitch I'm the reason for the damn Geneva Conventions and I think it's time they were updated!

[–] k0e3@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Sorry to be that guy, but it's "O, Canada."

This is a pet peeve of mine.

[–] JohnSmith@feddit.uk 4 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

This looks like a wonderfully small hill to die on.

[–] k0e3@lemmy.ca 2 points 19 hours ago

I know I'm being super annoying, but it's our national anthem so I like to see it spelled correctly, especially in this kind of context. Soory!

[–] Vinny_93@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Fixed it and soory

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 22 points 1 day ago
