Miller appeared on Fox News on Sunday, where he went off on a rant about the Democratic votes were thrown away as the party rallies around Vice President Kamala Harris.

"They held a primary. They had ballots. They filled out circles!" Miller shouted on Fox News. "They went to the voting booths. They spent money on advertisements!"

Still yelling, Miller says that Republicans also spent money running against Biden.

That’s because they had their whole “old man bad” thing planned out for the next 4 months.

Nazi rhetoric falls apart when you take away the boogie man. No sleepy Joe, no laptop or emails or some bullshit. They have to come up with something new. He is scared, because they are incapable of talking about actual issues.

More than that, as fucking tepid a choice as Kamala Harris is to me, I have almost no doubt in my mind she can kick Donald's ass at a debate. She is an older, half-african-american-half-asian-american woman -- yeah, my money says she can both out-sass and out-maneuver him. That's gonna be a show worth watching (and the entire country will be) so be ready for September 10th. We gon' see some shit.

[–] very_well_lost@lemmy.world 13 points 2 years ago (4 children)

That's assuming the debate actually happens... I think it's more likely than not that Trump will try to weasel out of a debate with Harris — probably blaming some bullshit concerns about venue security or something like that in order to milk his shooting for all it's worth.

"Oww! My ear spurs! From where I took that bullet for America and stuff, y'all! I better skip the debate. Doctor's orders!"

[–] PythagreousTitties@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago

I wonder how long Trump's going to wear the ear bandage for. It's be hilarious if he never took it off.

[–] frunch@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This is exactly what i expect will happen, right down to the security concerns

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 years ago

I agree, but I think he'll try to lay the blame on the Democrats while doing so.

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

There's never going to be a debate.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they started calling her a “crooked cop” or something. Based on the same zero evidence they’ve given for calling Joe crooked.

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Well, there goes the Hunter Biden thing.

[–] Stern@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

I've started to see birther rumblings though idk if that one will get traction

[–] GoofSchmoofer@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

I think his is more angry that he is seeing his opportunity to oppress minorities start to slip away.

This sounds like they slept on oppo research and message testing for anyone but Biden and now they realize they're at square one.

[–] JimVanDeventer@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Is this not just a continuation of the same old plan to characterize everything Democrats do as cheating so they get to say the election was stolen again?

[–] wreel@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That messaging works to keep their base engaged but capturing low-information swing voters is a bit trickier.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 years ago

Maybe it doesn't matter when you don't care about the results of the election anyway?

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Every Republican accusation is an admission.

Modern conservative malice is matched only by modern conservative ineptitude.

There isn't a way to reject all facts and data about the world you don't like and still remain competent. You can't send someone to the moon by rage tweeting that NASA shouldn't exist and then building a giant slingshot because it feels like the right way to do it.

[–] wreel@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 2 years ago

That's why they always change the measure of success to just hurting The Other. It's cheap and easier than solving problems.

[–] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 16 points 2 years ago

Tell me you don't have a platform that people will vote for without telling me that you don't have a platform that people will vote for.

They were running against Biden, not on their policy objectives other than racist and nationalist dog whistles

Sorry. If anything other then non-committed vote happened during these "primaries" I would have been there. Also, fuck you you can't force someone to run you god damn idiot.

[–] KreekyBonez@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

you can't force someone to run you god damn idiot

it takes some serious kompromat to pull that off

Every Who down in Who-ville, the tall and the small,

Was singing! Without any presents at all!

He HADN'T stopped Christmas from coming! IT CAME!

Somehow or other, it came just the same!

And the Grinch, with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow,

Stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so?

'It came without ribbons! It came without tags!

It came without packages, boxes or bags!'

[–] elbucho@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Well, you know, if you guys had spent that money talking about how you were going to "make America great again" instead of on slinging mud at Joe Biden, none of it would have been wasted and you'd be ahead of the curve, wouldn't you? Maybe instead of crying like a little bitch, you start figuring out how you're going to sell your miserable agenda to the American people?

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

On the contrary, the GOP is trying its best to hid its Agenda 47/Project 2025.

[–] pingveno@lemmy.ml 8 points 2 years ago

"I do not endorse the large, comprehensive document that many of my current and former staffers were involved in writing. Now let's get back to defeating Sleepy Joe Biden." - Trump

[–] memfree@lemmy.ml 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

They are trying very hard not to mention Project 2025 (bullet points). They're even saying they won't really do that stuff... while standing with the authors. They know most Americans are against their stuff, so they talk about anything OTHER than their plan to: eliminate the Department of Education, cut and overhaul Medicaid, roll back the recent law banning surprise medical billing, and revoke FDA approval of the abortion pill mifepristone, and so many other horrible things. Instead, they're gonna mispronounce Kamala's name and make fun of her laugh.

[–] PowerCrazy@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 years ago

Wouldn't it be cool if both our political parties had ambitious plans for the future?

He helped author Project 2025, as well as run Trump's whole immigration and deportation system. He would have made such a Nazi, you can just see it in him.

[–] NaibofTabr@infosec.pub 8 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I've been very much thinking that Biden had the best chance to win, mostly due to name recognition, and that switching candidates would be a bad idea because there isn't a lot of time left for campaigning. I didn't think Joe was necessarily the best person to be president (given the options), but I did think he had the most exposure and was most likely to collect votes.

But I didn't really consider that switching candidates might seriously upset the Republican campaigning strategy. This could work. As long as the Democrats line up behind Kamala and don't fragment, this risk might pay off.

[–] memfree@lemmy.ml 7 points 2 years ago

I'm tickled pink! All 50 Democratic party chairs endorse Harris already. ActBlue got $47 million today in just 7 hours from Biden stepping out. The world looks a little brighter when Steven Miller doesn't get his way.

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 4 points 2 years ago (6 children)

The democrats should've had a real primary with actual debates. That would've exposed the Biden situation way earlier and would've given the eventual candidate a democratic mandate. Biden dropping out now isn't ideal, but now is better than later, it was only going to get worse.

The ideal scenario would've been for Biden to keep his word about him being a transitional candidate that would step aside after one term.

To be perfectly honest, I’d be quite amused if Stephen Miller was not ok.

[–] thesporkeffect@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Delighted, even

[–] NutWrench@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 years ago

Guys like Miller can't understand the idea of self-sacrifice if there's no money or personal gain to be had, later. He's frustrated because he can't figure out the "angle" and it's no more complicated than for the good of the nation. And that's a completely alien idea to him.

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 2 points 2 years ago

Hush little baby don't you cry, that Steve Miller's not outside~
