The government doesn't get to decide what is "of legitimate concern to the public", we the people do! That's why public record request laws and FOIA exist.

This guy needs to be selling corn dogs at a state fair and nowhere near the government.

a state judge can squash FOIAs

On September 8, I filed public records requests to all the agencies in the task force for body camera footage, incident reports, and other documents related to the shootings. All of those agencies except the Washington DOC rejected the requests, citing the TCSO's ongoing homicide investigation. The TCSO was not part of the task force and is conducting an independent investigation into the incident.

On November 24, the Washington DOC notified me that it had collected responsive records, but due to the TCSO investigation, it would be notifying the sheriff's office before releasing anything.

The TCSO's lawsuit is similar to what's known as a "reverse FOIA" suit, an attempt by a government agency to force requesters to defend their right to access public records in court.

This system is rigged by corrupt rich cops and the local rich fascist friends.

I'm like, "was that supposed to make us want to see them less?!"

Vote now:

A) Greg is carrying Elons 45th baby? B) They just wanted to exchange gamer handles to play Fortnight? C) Greg wanted to know where Elon gets all his drugs?

What would happen if people started reporting on the worst that we think could be in the emails? Abbott could sue for defamation but the proof that what was being said was false would be contained in the emails that would need to be presented.

Clearly the embarrassing information is that Abbott's wife cucked him with Musk and that is why Abbott is why they are getting divorced.

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I heard Abbott likes to get pegged by dogs, and he was discussing using ketamine during the act with Musk.

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago

Lot of people are saying it

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, Abbott is in a wheelchair because he's paralyzed. You know what kind of questions dumbass Elon asked him. Abbott's responses were probably just as bad.

Somehow, I don't want to know.

These questions are why we invented investigative journalists.

[–] ajoebyanyothername@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Feel like investigative journalists should be asking more important questions than 'does your dick work?'.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

No no.

they're for going through the "does your dick work" questions in the emails so we don't have to.

Their sacrifice is appreciated.

[–] Aatube@kbin.melroy.org 5 points 2 days ago

He'd just give the emails under sealed cover.

[–] DrakeAlbrecht@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Something tells me Abbot told Musk what he really thinks of Donald Trump.

[–] DarkDecay@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Maybe but does it matter what the stains think of the shit? The stains are still there and will need to be removed

[–] Bot@sub.community 20 points 2 days ago (2 children)
