What amazes me is that there are still people who look at what Donald Trump has done in his life, what he has said and done to become president (twice!) and what he's done since taking office. They look at all this, take a big huff of their own farts and say "I approve of this"
I can't imagine that it takes anything less than a very special kind of cognitive disability to be intelligent enough to use twitter, but dumb enough to support this petulant, stroppy, bafflingly stupid man-toddler.
There has been a concerted effort for the last 15 to 20 years by the alt-right to court young disillusioned men and women using divisiveness and the slowly declining status quo as a lever.

You would t believe the false propagandized worlds these people live in. I have a close friend that turned his head towards this stuff over the years I’ve been trying my best pull back. But I mean it’s 100% like science fiction. They can say gravity isn’t real and these people would believe it. It’s very sad. It’s usually rooted in fear tactics and it overrides any logic. Lots of doubles speak too. Many really believe trump just wants to get rid of criminals. That’s the party line, but it’s double speak for migrants

If you didn't recognize what he was after the disaster that was his first administration, all his admission of what he said he would do, and then still either voted for him or didn't vote because you didn't recognize the repeat threat he was and couldn't get off your fat ass to vote to prevent him from taking office, I'm sorry, but you're in the group of people who can't handle responsibilities of being a fucking adult.

His polling numbers dont matter. Either he cannot run for president again or he fucks up the government bad enough to allow him to, in which case the vote is going to be rigged AF anyway.
If he hasn't had a heart from all the hamberders by the next election cycle I guarantee he will run for president again and it'll be up to congress and or the supreme court to stop him. Depending on the make up of those to entities I think there's a chance they would stop him.

The fact that he ever had an approval rating with Gen Z is mind-boggling.
The polling numbers after the election were horrifying. GenZ are like the Hitler Youth of today. Not just voting Trump because their parents were Republicans and influenced their political outlook, but enthusiastically embracing Trump because of memes and TikTok, not actually considering the consequences carefully.
It's shameful, because even though most GenZ kids were not old enough to vote, they were almost old enough to vote back in 2016 when Trump took office the first time. It's not like they are looking back at the early years of politics from their childhood fondly, they were definitely old enough to be able to see how destructive he was.

We can't pretend this is just passive, from the parent kind of stuff. The right has and continues to actively target children in their spaces in ways that us on the left just have too much integrity to. I'm not saying we should start counter-indoctrinating children, but we need to be realistic and honest with ourselves about the situation.
I think people forget that the 19 year olds voting for him were 10 when the “Grab ‘em by the pussy” shit happened. Not that it’s an excuse to not pay attention but a lot of the people who voted for him didn’t have the benefit of hindsight and spent the entire pandemic alone in their rooms listening to Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate.
Gen Z was explicitly not taught how to read properly. It’s very difficult to not be conspiracist and think it was on purpose. Phonics was thrown out entirely for years. Teachers spoke up about it not working, and were forced to work the programs anyway.
