Its hard to find redemption while being a fucking nazi.
I mean, American History X is a great movie and all but I doubt that often that happens in reality.
"Abundance" libs like Matt Yglesias were publicly salivating at the opportunity to start glazing Elon again.
Great movie, super important message, also super hard to watch because it is so... Needed to understand? I don't know how to word that.
I firmly believe that he wants to be Trump's successor. When Trump dies or if he actually doesn't try to run in 2028, Musk will be there to pick up the MAGA flag.
He's not eligible for president without a constitutional amendment.
They only care about the constitution when it serves their own interest. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they continue to disregard the constitution, since no one seems to actually hold them accountable.
I don't mean Trump's successor as president necessarily, just that he wants to have the MAGA crowd cheering for him and listening to him the same way they cheer for and listen to Trump. He wants the spotlight that Trump has; he's as big of a narcissist as Trump is, and I think he's jealous that Trump is out-narcissisting him. Though, as InnovativeInquirer notes, I don't think it's beyond these people at all to ignore the constitution when it's in their interests to do so, so who knows.
The USA doesn't really do the constitution any more.
He desperately wants to be, yeah. The problem is he's vile and off-putting even to Trump's fans. Never has anyone so wealthy and powerful reeked of loserdom so badly.
Ok so just to be clear, he is:
- the rich scion
- of an emerald mining family
- that made its fortunes in apartheid South Africa
- and grew up in apartheid South Africa

the crowd the villain plays to is much easier to play to and extract money from

Why are we pretending to give a shit what text an LLM spits out?
Because musk has repeatedly tinkered with Grok's responses when those responses are something that he disagrees with (for example, that the majority of recent politically-motivated violence in the US has come from the right-wing) or when he's trying to push a false narrative (for example, that white people in South Africa are being genocided). IMO, the above response has also been tinkered with, trying to downplay musk's repeated antagonism toward the lgbtqia+ community.
Sounds like even less reason to give a shit what it says...
The evidence from the whole white genocide episode is that when Elon tries to mess with Grok he does so in the crudest way possible (messing with the system prompt). He shows a lot of frustration and rages about Grok constantly. I honestly think all they did when making a "non-woke" Grok was train it on a stolen copy of the internet but then not do any LRHF to tone down the natual 4chanic elements you end up with when using that training set.
He knows he's going to get the McAfee treatment if he doesn't dock at MAGA trading ports.
Why am I even reading that? It's just more of the same vile shit to distract from the real issues. It's all the same and it always begins by giving me an "option" to "customise my cookie choices". Hell, I already feel conditioned to a hopeful longing that, on the next popup page i'll be allowed to “reject all" to finally be able to consume the meaningless depictions of hate and stupidity.
