I know it's a bit different than the germanic font that nazis use but with the europe in the middle it makes me think of nazis...
I know what it is, it's just that neo-nazis use it all the time, that's why it made me think of it.
Neonazis can get fucked. They won't co-opt or own a font.
@atro_city Norway is not Europe?
This is the EU members version. You might notice that Switzerland is also missing, right in the centre.
Could you maybe do a version with Norway, UK, Switzerland? Seems like nobody really excludes them from the movement anyway, be it here on Lemmy or on Reddit
Especially considering its buy European, not buy EU. Plus as a Brit I'm jealous not being included.
And Iceland! More islands more better
Also maybe include Ukraine, they'd appreciate it
There are a few other designs and fonts I'd like to do, so this is the first iteration. I'm thinking of making a drive in cryptpad to share the project files so that others can modify it, but that'll have to wait until there's time again.
P.S inkscape is clunky, but awesome. Learned how to do stuff on the go using this youtube series of Logos By Nick (US). Wish it were on peertube, but oh well.
Well done! And yeah inkscape is bit clunky but I feel like it's getting better and better! Love that FOSS projects in the creative field are getting a momentum.
Although knowing a few designers who'd love to fully switch to a FOSS alternative from illustrator at their work, it's not quite there yet for certain professional work.
Since I don't really do graphics professionally I always use inkscape for any vectorgraphic work I need to do!
The last big update of Inkscape fixed many visual bugs for me and makes the experience much better. It's not the best looking tool, but it does the job :)

Same! This is the only vector art tool that I know of. I know some people who use it as a document editor because they have much more freedom when placing things. Not what I would do, but a novel use IMO.
Yeah that was an awesome update! It also runs way smoother on linux than on windows - noticed this when I made the switch.
And it speaks for it's software that it can be used for document editing! (yeah not always the right tool but still)
Thank you for using open-source all the way through!
