Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

The firings encompassed four staffers who were fired overnight, after the meeting, and two who were removed over the weekend. It created the extraordinary situation where Loomer appeared to have more influence than the national security adviser, Mike Waltz, over the NSC and undercut Waltz in having aides axed under him.

Loomer brought a booklet of papers laying out the perceived disloyalty of about a dozen staffers, including Waltz’s principal deputy, Alex Wong, to the meeting, which was also attended by JD Vance, the chief of staff Susie Wiles, the commerce secretary Howard Lutnick and Waltz himself.

The fired officials included Brian Walsh, the senior director for intelligence who previously worked for now secretary of state Marco Rubio on the Senate intelligence committee; Thomas Boodry, the senior director for legislative affairs who previously served as Waltz’s legislative director in Congress; and Maggie Dougherty, the senior director for international organizations, the people said.

So the knifes have come out. I wondered when the stabbings would begin. Expect a lot of changes in Trump's inner circle from here on, it's a constant fight for survival.

I'm taking bets.

Those must be really good blow jobs.

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 9 points 11 months ago

Must be the constant affirmation of "big penis"

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 6 points 11 months ago

Or just the only ones he can get. I'm sure he can get them from EmptyG, or Boobert, or Big Booby Bondi, or Vance, or any rando MAGAbilly, but they're all really gross, and probably crawling with all sorts of STDs, diseases, and parasites.

[–] LittleBorat3@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

I doubt it...🧐

[–] Daggity@lemm.ee 33 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I don't know how but it's so mind boggling that she still has influence. She's so absurdly crazy.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 17 points 11 months ago (1 children)

That's an essential qualification in the Trump administration. Doing the opposite of what people expect you to do is a coping mechanism of sociopaths. If you look at it from that angle, a lot of what Trump is doing makes far more sense.

[–] Daggity@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago

Oh yeah no doubt, they're all on the stupid and evil spectrums. She's just an outlier even in that sense to me.

"Activist" is a bit grandiose. I might go with "far-right conspiracist and video prankster Laura Loomer"

[–] Linktank@lemmy.today 25 points 11 months ago

I hate knowing that she's just out there... Looming.

Did the staffers say Thank You once? /s

The silver lining is that these MAGA Nazi Retards (sorry, but a harsh word is required here) are too stupid to realize that all they are doing is giving their opposition the Gift of Competency.

As they gather all their sub-100 IQ loyalists in positions of leadership, the other side is benefitting by their brain drain. Surely, many of those intelligent government exiles are speaking to each other, and plans for a response are being considered.

In addition, there are still thousands of smart, competent, experienced people still in their job, who are proud of their agencies and their jobs. Most of those people are getting angrier by the day at what is happening to their colleagues and supervisors. If you have ever had a competent respected supervisor be replaced by an idiot, you know the frustration that literally every Federal worker is feeling.

Those people will be prime assets for leaks, malicious compliance, sabotage, etc.

MAGA will eventually be brought down by their own virtuosic incompetence.

Unfortunately they are going to bring us all down with them.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Oh, yeah, its going to be painful beyond what traditionally comfortable Americans can imagine, but in the end, the Nazis will have a very ignominious, and probably very violent and painful, end.

[–] HellsBelle@sh.itjust.works 4 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Not unless Americans start rising up in massive protests to bring the Dumpster to his knees.

I means why aren't there at least a million people surrounding the WH right now? Or surrounding whatever building DOGE is working out of?

Why aren't there 100M Americans marching towards Washington to tune these chucklefucks in?

Y'all watch France kick ass immediately when it's required, but it seems you've been trained well to obey power no matter how malevolent it is.

America the great has become America the cowed.

[–] liverbe@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Americans are one paycheck away from being homeless. It's not that we won't or can't protest, it's that we can't afford to.

Once he's stripped Medicare & Social Security, a lot of people will hopefully get off their ass.

[–] HellsBelle@sh.itjust.works -1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

So you expect America's senior citizens to save you?

Wow.

[–] liverbe@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

Wow. Social security isn't just senior citizens, and entire families depend on it, not just those receiving it.

And I don't need to be saved. I'm just here for the show. 🍿

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 3 points 11 months ago

Right now, Americans have too much to lose. But when they start losing it, they'll get ferocious. Protests are increasing in number, in cities all over America, and are steadily increasing in size. If you live near a city, and want to protest, I guarantee there is one going on somewhere near you this weekend. By next summer, every city will be seeing simultaneous multiple giant protests, for multiple issues.

Go ahead, start deporting our children to 3rd world torture prisons for exercising their 1st Amendment rights, start drafting them for an incompetently managed war of economic opportunity, cancel elections which were the only thing offering hope for a return to normality, etc. and behavior will change fast.

If I find myself in a tent city, you can absolutely bet that I will be working closely with whatever resistance force is forming in the camp, and if there isn't a resistance force, I'll start forming one. A Hooverville style camp is the perfect place to gather a motivated militia of people who want revenge/ change.

It takes time for the damage to "Trickle Down" to the people and affect them, and it will affect MAGAturds as much as anyone else. At first, they'll try to blame it on Democrats of Biden, but they won't really believe it, and it wont stick. They will know who is really responsible, so when their children are starving, or dying in a war against Canada, or have been disappeared, they're going to get angry at the right people.

Never forget, MANY leaders have been assassinated by people they thought were on their side. Nobody gets angrier than someone who thinks they've been betrayed.

[–] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 11 months ago
