I'll do you one better, I was asked, on more than one occasion, what I WANTED TO Do and then was left out of those plans by the people who asked me. Also invited to things and then when I show up everyone pretends I wasn't invited, and told the text I was showing as proof was obviously sent by me to myself.

It has made me just assume that I will be excluded from things, regardless of whether I have been asked about it, or even invited to go.

Being told you invited yourself, and somehow before the event had a premonition that you would need evidence that you were invited, and sent a text to yourself beforehand, is fucking wild.

Like that's almost a compliment at that point, if you spitefully take it at face value. They're telling you you have magic powers!

Jesus christ that's rough. Fuck em dude, those people are nothing but stress waiting to happen.

Yeah, I haven't associated with any of them in 10 years. The only time I even think about them is when topics like this show up. For all I know they're all dead

Sorry that happened to you! I've cut out long term friends because they were toxic. And am so much better without them. Even if it hurts shortly, it will be better for your future. I guess you've already done that maybe but don't lose hope, there are good people out there worth your time :-)

I cut out a couple toxic people and unfortunately found out that several others were simply friends of convenience and enablers.

When I was about 11, I had this happen to me when I was with some 'friends'. When I naturally got upset about it, all the adults (their parents) got pissy at me and told me "the world doesn't revolve around you."
