I think putting something like

Humor is subjective, but just in case it's good to clarify it's a joke.
With current international politics it's hard to know the difference
From what I understand of the Lemmy userbase, this type of humor generally just does not play here as much as it would at somewhere like Reddit.
The people who enjoyed the joke just upvote and move on. But yes, we do have a lot of folks who do not embrace obliquity.
