So, as a proud European, I enjoy my ability to speak multiple languages, and there are two thing GBoard does well:
- Word suggestions in multiple languages - it is common for me to switch between my native language, Portuguese, and English, so when writing, GBoard fetches words to fill what I'm currently writing from both dictionaries, not just the one that is active.
- Japanese in a QWERTY layout - when I need to write in Japanese, I can switch the language to Japanese with QWERTY, so that when I write "ka", it shows "ใ"
I've tried a bunch of keyboards, but they either miss one or the other feature. Do you guys know of an alternative? Thanks in advance!
I didn't come across good Japanese Foss keyboard. There is Mozc for android that I switch between if I want to type in Japanese and use one that has easy switching between keyboards. (Helibord and unexpected keyboard.)
