Ok, so not every single student does this. But Iโve heard tales of a lecturer who caught his student out. How did he slip? He copied and pasted the but that said โAI can make mistakesโ or whatever the copilot equivalent is ๐
Just had a discussion with a friend who teaches comp sci at the uni I used to go to. He asked the new first semesters which of them were using AI. The ratio was literally one hundred fucking percent.
We're just doomed.
It would probably be better to differentiate. In my opinion there are different levels of LLM usage, and some, of them you have to actually go out of your way to deactivate. (For example, the jetbrains line completions)
No. Don't differentiate. There's literally no good reason to use that shit if you're supposed to learn about what you're doing. It'll just result in you learning less. Just don't use jetbrains. We're currently removing them from our work environment for that reason.
