Regardless, they weren't making money. Rogers doesn't get $1B+ of government money like the CBC does to air programming no one listens to.

Many people myself included listen to the CBC and enjoy it. Take this Tiny PP “my taxpayer money” energy elsewhere.

I'm glad to see you enjoy it. Numbers say CBC numbers are declining, and keep declining.

Look at it this way. Would you rather have a taxpayer funded CBC or free high speed internet and mobile phone? That's how much we are all paying.

I would absolutely prefer the CBC. I support nationalized institutions that serve the common good and would like to see more funding for them and the nationalization of other services. Free and fair media not beholden to corporate or religious influence is as or more important than free internet - and why not both?

There is no taxpayer money. That’s an American trope. We elect a government who is accountable to society as a whole not the individual disgruntled taxpayer who would rather have more money for a down payment on trashy lifted Dodge RAM.

Sorry you get a Corolla and we all get the CBC.

I support people making their own choice. That's a good thing.

I don't understand 'there is no taxpayer money'. Do you not understand where the CBC government handout comes from? You know it comes from taxpayers, right?
