I might be wrong about this about I suspect that not only did support for Israel hurt them, the whole "kamala is for they/them" thing might have done a lot of damage and its quite possible the storm revealing the latter would kick up might be the main thing they fear.

Idiots not voting hurt them.

I'm sure trump admitting they fixed the voting machines didn't help either.

It was the Democrat's strategy that resulted in low voter turnout. The votes were up for grabs, they ran away from them. It's not like the campaign was unaware of what messaging and policies were unpopular. They deliberately chose to ignore it. They chose to run to the right on policy and messaging. If they gave a shit about being an opposition to fascism, about actually winning, they would have heeded all the warning signs and run a different campaign. One that would galvanize their own base, one that would fracture the Republican base. Instead, they prioritized the interest of their capital donors, with zero consideration of the views of the constituents that they are supposed to represent.

“This was a preventable disaster,” Cook said, “but Harris and the Democratic Party leadership prioritized the agendas of corporate donors and gambled on a centrist path, while largely abandoning working-class, young, and progressive voters.”

We know what the autopsy is about, and why they won't release it.

Amazing that he admitted that, and not a single news agency picked up on it...but a bunch of Internet sleuths did! That doesn't sound like a conspiracy theory.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 0 points 3 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

Sure centrist Karens like you kicked progressives in the face and ignored everything they wanted while calling them names, barely pretending to push back on the fasists, and committing war crimes, but progressives then just not showing up to beg for more of that is inexcusable! How dare they! They had better show up next time or you'll have some harsh words for them! and never forgive them!

/s

You know what pal, If Dem centrists cashing zionist paychecks refuse to learn from their mistakes, they can damn well watch the whole country not vote for them again, and the whole country continue to burn to the effing ground. I'm sick of their traitorous triangulating war criminal lite Dem plans. Do your effing job for once, centrists.

[–] 13igTyme@piefed.social 3 points 3 days ago (2 children)

You calling me a centrist is more laughable than that bullshit comment you just spewed.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 0 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

And yet somehow you're always arguing on the centrist side, but claim not to be a centrist. Weird how that works.

Heres a centrist comment of yours from this very same post. But you're not a centrist huh. Who am I to beleive: you or my own eyes?

Can you explain to me why some people like to both call those that voted for Kamala as being defeatist while at the same time refusing to vote for a candidate that is not 100% perfect but miles better than the opposition?

Genuinely curious.

[–] 13igTyme@piefed.social 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's not a centrist statement. God damn you are fucking stupid.

Do you need a history lesson? Quoting me when I'm stating a verified fact it's a gotcha. It just makes you look incredibly dumb. Go ahead and read more of my history. You clearly have nothing happening in your life.

Pathetic.

[–] CannonFodder@lemmy.world -1 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I guess if your happy with trump's policies and all the destruction in the ME then you can be happy you didn't vote for harris.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Gaza was razed to the ground on Joe Bidens watch. Using my tax money. And your girl Harris said she wouldnt change a thing from Joe Bidens policies. You like to pretend they are any different than Trump, they are not. Both Trump and Harris were 100% owned by the zionists. Thats exactly why she lost. She wasnt successful reaching out to the right for support either, was she? Talking about her glock and appearing on stage with a Cheney didnt work, did they?

And you lot refuse to learn a single thing from that giant loss and the chaos and murder its caused. So you'll do it again. Its absurdly pathetic.

They guy quoted in the article was the "Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Adviser for Energy and Investment", he was also part of the IDF. So he's not part of the chain of command, nor advising the military, and he has a motive to try to sell this war to the American people.

If this article was written before 2024, I might give it some more weight, but a former IDF soldier saying "Nah, Biden was totally going to attack Iran, and Kamala was too, so it's cool that trump does it." a few days ago does not really carry a lot of weight with me.

Also I'd be surprised if we didn't have attack plans and drills for a possible conflict with Iran... or China, or Russia, or really anyone. What do you think the military is doing with 883,000,000,000 dollars a year? The fact that those plans exist is not an intent to use them. It would look really fucking dumb if Iran attacked an ally (or the US directly) and the US was like "damn, we never really thought about this as a possibility."

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Why Biden has an idf terrorist as a top official ? You think he would put someone in this position that he don't trust and know that he lies. The amount of denialism from cultists like you is mind-blowing. It is a fact that the USA and Israel did military exercises to prepare for attacking Iran

Juniper Oak was defined as a “Joint All-Domain Exercise” encompassing land, air, sea, space, and cyber operations; as some have noted, this combination of all five dimensions of (post-) modern warfare is not easily achieved, let alone between two very different military establishments and professional cultures. The US forces participating—4,600 troops in all—comprised an aircraft carrier, the George H.W. Bush, and its task force, and other naval assets; some 140 aircraft, including B-52 strategic bombers, fighter aircraft, helicopters, and refueling tankers, in addition to those designated for future delivery to the Israeli Air Force; Army units, including HIMARS and MLRS rocket launchers, infantry, and special forces. No details were given as to the space and cyber components, but both countries have significant military assets in both domains (which can play a role, for example, in the non-kinetic suppression of enemy air defense).

And probably not (if you read what they said).
But like I said, if you're happy with all Trump's policies and the way he governs then you'll be happy you didn't vote for Harris. That's ok. It's a democracy - you can be a Trump supporter if you want to be.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I like how you act like trump cultists using the same type of lame excuses. Similar to how some cultists claimed that by the end of civilization Trump meant and of the regime.

The biggest usa/israel military exercice ained at Iran was during Biden.
