I might be wrong about this about I suspect that not only did support for Israel hurt them, the whole "kamala is for they/them" thing might have done a lot of damage and its quite possible the storm revealing the latter would kick up might be the main thing they fear.

They guy quoted in the article was the "Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Adviser for Energy and Investment", he was also part of the IDF. So he's not part of the chain of command, nor advising the military, and he has a motive to try to sell this war to the American people.

If this article was written before 2024, I might give it some more weight, but a former IDF soldier saying "Nah, Biden was totally going to attack Iran, and Kamala was too, so it's cool that trump does it." a few days ago does not really carry a lot of weight with me.

Also I'd be surprised if we didn't have attack plans and drills for a possible conflict with Iran... or China, or Russia, or really anyone. What do you think the military is doing with 883,000,000,000 dollars a year? The fact that those plans exist is not an intent to use them. It would look really fucking dumb if Iran attacked an ally (or the US directly) and the US was like "damn, we never really thought about this as a possibility."

Why Biden has an idf terrorist as a top official ? You think he would put someone in this position that he don't trust and know that he lies. The amount of denialism from cultists like you is mind-blowing. It is a fact that the USA and Israel did military exercises to prepare for attacking Iran

Juniper Oak was defined as a “Joint All-Domain Exercise” encompassing land, air, sea, space, and cyber operations; as some have noted, this combination of all five dimensions of (post-) modern warfare is not easily achieved, let alone between two very different military establishments and professional cultures. The US forces participating—4,600 troops in all—comprised an aircraft carrier, the George H.W. Bush, and its task force, and other naval assets; some 140 aircraft, including B-52 strategic bombers, fighter aircraft, helicopters, and refueling tankers, in addition to those designated for future delivery to the Israeli Air Force; Army units, including HIMARS and MLRS rocket launchers, infantry, and special forces. No details were given as to the space and cyber components, but both countries have significant military assets in both domains (which can play a role, for example, in the non-kinetic suppression of enemy air defense).
