California has jungle primaries meaning it's easier to pick the parties out of nomination control and Alaska has RCV meaning in theory the same can be accomplished in the general. Also there needs to be a distinction between organized religions with a structured hierarch and folk religions that are moreso a bunch of tennents and traditions that can be as localized and small as a single family or clan.
