- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

Great, now do all that without involving the Democratic Party. Less deadweight that way.
Honestly if it was only about the deadweight it'd be a better idea to work from within rather than without. But the Democratic Party isn't just deadweight; it's an angry chimpanzee you need to continually appease at great personal cost that will still punch and kick you, and might even hop off and run away (which you don't want to happen because reasons). Now imagine you want people to follow you but they also have to carry chimpanzees. That's the problem with involving the DNC.
Damn, that was saucy. But it made me remember that chimpanzees actually eat people's (and other chimps') faces, unlike leopards. So good words of caution, there.
We need the ballot access that the Democratic Party has to get any success much beyond local offices, maybe county. Only three minor parties had ballot access in more than 10 states in 2024. Over 99% of state and federal legislatives offices are either Republican or Democratic. Zero electoral votes have gone to a third party presidential candidate since 1968 (and Perot received just shy of 19% of the national popular vote in 1992).
Soon you won't be allowed to say the D word in public places.
Maybe start by calling out the Nazis for rigging the the 2024 election, exposing the evidence (there's a LOT of it), and stop putting so much more weight on "the peaceful transfer of power" rather than actually winning.
Otherwise, they'll do it again, and HitlerPig will get 98% of the vote, and use that to claim a "Citizen's Mandate" that repeals the 22nd amendment on term limits.
100% this. Walz was asked recently about it in a town hall, and he went on about voter suppression, but didn't acknowledge the elephant in the room that the data set looks hacked, and we need hand recounts. I don't even think it's been brought to his attention.
They need to do what AOC and Bernie are doing campaign across the country from small towns to large cities get the word out organize stand upand fight.

They nominees are the ones who win the primaries, regardless of who the DNC wants the nominees to be. Progressive candidates need to run and progressive voters need to show up.

Still easier to do that in the primaries, hell in theory you could do it in some states while telling the DNC to go fuck themselves. California has jungle primaries meaning it's easier to pick the parties out of nomination control and Alaska has RCV meaning in theory the same can be accomplished in the general. Anyone know any other states where the same can be achieved? Cause I feel like this type of action is our best best.
