This made my day
unconsequential
That is a very nice hat.
Then to be satire it should have some context, perhaps a title or sub-title like:
“This just in! Hot off the presses! Israelis propoganda machine Hasbara hard at work to justify land theft in the West Bank:”
Satire usually uses sarcasm or hyperbole or some variation, this reads very flat. While it may seem absurd to some, it’s coming off more as just repeating propoganda points rather than actively pointing out irony or hypocritical thinking etc. Just doesn’t have the flare to read as satire. It reads more like the writer holds these views themselves. Perhaps I missed something in tone but that’s my two-cents. Satire can be hit or miss; see Poe’s Law.
If it was meant as satire I think it missed the mark in tone completely.
They definitely seem to have real art on their site like the article says. I wonder if they had a mixture of things and rather than remove their AI generated stuff they fought with the management. Or they were just flat out asked to leave instead of given opportunity to fix it. I know a lot of traditional artists using AI now for posing and composition layout but they still do the panting etc. But it does look stifled sometimes. Like you can tell it’s been influenced by AI. It makes me sad. Especially since one of the artists used to be super fluid and expressive and now everything feels like they’re painting vectors :( which their merch distributor loves and encourages because it’s easier to print but I think it’s literally killed their business. I don’t think it’s “competitive” I think it’s convenient for a select few and killed their creativity. Fuck AI art.
Ah yes. Let’s go where the greediest people on earth will literally control who gets to breathe and who doesn’t and ration every drop of water and food to their fancy. What could possibly go wrong?
I feel the headline is way too generous to Israel. It makes it sound like they weren’t targeted in retaliation to the extension of their withdrawal date, which they were absolutely targeted over.
“One grenade impacted within 20 metres and three within approximately 100 metres of UN personnel and vehicles,” the mission reported
“Any actions endangering UN peacekeepers and assets, and interference with their mandated tasks are unacceptable and a serious violation of Resolution 1701 and international law,” Unifil said.
The attack came days after the Security Council voted unanimously to extend Unifil’s mandate “one final time”, setting 2027 as the deadline for its withdrawal.
Scar, brother, help me!
I understand this is a joke. But, have to vent.
I really don’t understand how either his supporters or his critics take him seriously. How on God’s green earth did this man become one of the most powerful people alive in our time? It just boggles my mind anyone takes him even remotely seriously. Supporters and opposition alike. Like, how the hell did we get here.
Very sick of purplewashing everywhere, especially by the right-wing. They only care about women’s safety when they can weaponize it. The rest of the time they’re all for making women’s lives a living hell.
Because boycotts are a relevant and powerful tool and part of being a thoughtful consumer is being educated on the ethics of the companies you’re monetarily supporting. That would be my guess anyway.
