It’s amazing to me how a very obvious clone is actually an incredible game in and of itself. It actually improves on bloodborne gameplay-wise in a lot of ways IMO. The parries are tight but very learnable, and definitely worth learning. The story is interesting enough, though the voice acting in certain places is kinda meh (I’m looking at you Gemini). While it recycles a lot of mechanics it also introduces many new ones which could be considered overwhelming if they weren’t introduced at the excellent pace that they were.

Wow thus turned out longer than I planned, all that’s to say my expectations were very low coming in (since clones are typically a cheap attempt at riding on another game’s success), but I now think even coming in with high expectations I definitely would not have been disappointed.

Most of them, yea. My maiden language isn’t English, so I grew up consuming most content either dubbed or with subtitles, and I learned at some point most of the time my experience is better in the original language, even if I don’t understand it.
