Kind of? It's referencing a well known set of mass extinctions that are talked about together, the 'Big Five', but it also is worded poorly. Instead something like "Sharks have survived the most recent four of the 'Big Five' mass extinction events." might be better?

You do need to maintain it. I have chronic health issues that cause nausea, and Domperidone (the med I take for lactation) is a good anti-emetic as well. Then, milking with a pump is required to maintain a high amount of production, but there's always a little bit for me.

CW Lactation Kink (Tap for Spoiler)I actually have a goat milking machine I use,,, >////<

Considering how much of jerk you're being, I'm going to reply to this with the same tone.

Do you have any evidence that the first post was made by the person who posted it?

I never said that person did make it, I infact don't believe that they did.

Any evidence of anyone making it at all?

Jesus fucking christ, if all art is now guilty (AI) until proven otherwise, all that's going to do is harm artists even more than they already have been.

There isn't a watermark or signature anywhere in any panel.

Are you daft? It could have easily been cropped out, something that's been happening on the internet since forever.

In fact the comic doesn't even comform [sic] to any of the panel dimensions and sloppily overflow into the whitespace for no reason...

Were you literally born yesterday? Artists have been overflowing the bounds of comic panels since the comic strip was bloody invented. A character holding an object, and that object extending past the panel so it's not cropped, is a pretty classic trope. So much so, that it doesn't tell you if this is AI or not, because an AI would have learnt the trope from its training data.

...the ear lines of the black haired girl doesnt [sic] match in either panel for no reason, the painting doesn't match for no reason...

So? Having some variations in art is pretty normal.

I could go on nit-picking this shit for you but it's not my job to tell you what's real or fake nor hold your hand through this transition period where you are no longer able to easily spot AI generated fake stuff. That's on you to train yourself to look out for this kinda shit.

Could you maybe train yourself to be less of a dick? Cool, thanks.

I'm,,, not so sure about that? To me, that comic is critical of AI, not necessarily supportive of it. I feel like we're not supposed to take the side of the bearded person, but the three others and their "Why the fuck should I care?" demeanour. Through that lens, I see the hand holding the painting as an intentional riff by the artist, hinting at why the technology might be dismissed by the majority.

I'm perfectly happy to be disproven, but I think one of the worst aspects of AI is the false accusations against legitimate artists. With the subject here being AI, I don't want to be so quick to rule out that the "obvious sign of AI" isn't itself satire.

Uhm, yeah? I think it's just exposure to it, I know other creatures (/pos) that speak in a similar way.

This is quite silly, but I also like that, occasionally, I end up with a wet spot on my shirt from it leaking a bit 🤭

I mean, obviously don't if you're uncomfortable, but in general they are used by breastfeeding mothers in order to store milk for later. That's done so that others can feed the child, either while the mother works or while others are caring for the child more generally.

CW Lactation Kink (Tap for Spoiler)As well, they can be used in a kink setting too. I'm a trans woman that worked with their doctor in order to induce lactation. I needed to use a breast pump, alongside medication, to do that. It makes me really euphoric, and even though it's only a small amount, I like being able to breastfeed sexual partners because it feels really nurturing.

I don't agree with the length of ban personally, but I'd say YDI because that article is trash. No, I don't want to explain why it's trash. More than just being Pro-Russia, it's also supportive of the Trump regime in the USA in a way that feels like bootlicking.

It also used to be faster, as most people used self-checkouts as an analog for express lanes. But now with folks with full trolleys using it, the lack if specialisation and theft prevention systems constantly breaking requiring the one or two employees to fix, it's now significantly longer than a regular checkout in most cases.

I'd be happy with four and eight year terms. Personally, I think the UK has shown why five years is pushing too far the other direction.

Indigenous recognition is an interesting one. The LNP undermined the ALPs referendum on recognition. If the LNP floated their own then ALP would be under a lot of pressure to support it, but of course the LNPs "recognition" would be tepid and I'm almost certain would limit equality in the future rather than promote it.

I genuinely think the proposal, to recognise indigenous history in the constitution's preamble, is that lukewarm that ALP could easily not support it. The vast majority of indigenous rights groups aren't going to consider it good enough.

Article from January 2025:

The United States Health and Human Services Department (HHS) published a landmark report on intersex health equity last week, calling for an end to medically unnecessary non-consensual surgeries on children born with intersex variations.

The report, based on a literature review and listening sessions with intersex people, ethicists, and medical professionals, states that “the over 5 million intersex people in our nation deserve to live healthy and fulfilling lives free from stigma and discrimination.”

Children born with variations in their sex characteristics, sometimes called intersex traits, are often subjected to “normalizing” surgeries that are irreversible, risky, and medically unnecessary. Approximately 1.7 percent of people have an intersex trait, meaning intersex variations are not uncommon, but often misunderstood.

Genuinely amazed this managed to still be released under the current regime and wasn't buried. Directly goes against Trump's EO that there are only two sexes.

I just watched this official video from Framework that does a deep dive into their new desktop and the chip that powers it. Right near the end, CEO Nirav Patel name drops Bazzite as a distro partner, and declares 2025 the year of the Linux gaming desktop!

Hey, I just wanted to make a post because I noticed the [email protected] community now has no moderators at all. The one mod was instance banned. I think it would be good if we could have some admin intervention to install a new head moderator. I'm not personally feeling able to put my paw up for that, so if any other blahaj user is up for taking it on please comment here :)

I was banned from lemmy.world for “personal attacks” for 3 days because of calling someone a “piece of shit” after they called me a “cunt”. The comment calling me a cunt wasn’t removed and the user hasn’t been punished at all by the lemmy.world admins.

The comments in question:

Lemmy.world modlog:

In the interest of full disclosure, this is my other comment that was removed:

And here’s the comment of that user I was referencing, in the Blahaj modlog after it was removed:

This feels like an overreach, especially when the admin clearly didn’t feel it was important to punish their own user for “personal attacks” in the same thread.
