Also, I don't understand the feddit.org thing. Why is a German instance "feddit.org" as if it's the main feddit instance?

Originally there was feddit.de with wintermute as admin. But when the fediverse needed him most, he disapeared.

Also if i understand it correctly feddit.org is for the german speaking countries (DE, AT & CH), not just germany.

We'll see, won't we? It's not like USA are the the first empire to fall. The next empire will act in their own interests just as the USA has done.

America has made shit moves, to be sure

I think that's an understatement. It's got some things right. Due process (at least for US citizens until the war on terror) was a good idea, but that seems to be a thing of the past now aswell. It never really thought the international rules they instated applied to themselved though.

but they supported the majority of the world’s population against far more authoritarian regimes

Like in Iran, where they orchestrated a coup de'tat against Mosaddegh? I wonder who reigns in Iran now... Surely after the helpfull intervention of the USA and UK their leadership is even more democratic and liberal now.

And I am sure their intervention in Irak had nothing to do with oil and was all about the chemical weapons we've all seen by now. I meand, yes, they were pretty secular back then and had a similar standart of living to us. So what, if the islamic state today is a direct consequence of US intervention and the power vacuum they left behind?

And the indescriminate poisoning of millions of Vietnamese had nothing to do with deformed children beeing born. They had to be protected from their own authoritarian goverments, you see? What are a few handicapped children in comparisson to that?

I could go on forever, but you get the idea. In my eyes the USA never was a force for democracy or freedom, but their own (and as an European my own) benefit.

I doubt China will be any better, but at least from what I've seen so far their imperialism seems to be mostly economic (though they might simply be biding their time).

I'm sure they'd exploit any weakness they find in us, just as we'd do to them. So basically same old story... And who's cheering this exactly?

Germany is a democracy and their policy reflects the will of its people.

Sadly the truth. But when your only point of contact with the genocide is hearing IDF ~~propaganda~~ press releases on the news once a day it's not surprising.

Not to mention they would benefits from that sweet weapon industry money. 3 billions for the last 20 years

tl;dr: no.

Long version: Those profits most likely go to the Top 1‰ and we get nothing from it. Quite the opposite, in fact: Recently parliament removed the debt limit on defense spending (because Rheinmetal & Co. keep buying our politicians[1]). So now more money, that could go into crumbling infrastructure, will go to the pockets of those war proffiteurs.

We spend more money on our military than france and aren't even able to guarantee combat readiness. Meanwhile they were able to partipitate in multiple ~~international law violating~~ wars.

So no, we do not benifit from the sweet ~~death~~ weapon industry.

Considering the CDU could be considered a far right party themselves, they just wanna eliminate their competition, so i wouldn't get my hopes up.

They literaly had an election poster with the slogan "You don't have to vote for the AfD to get what you want. There is a democratic alternative: the CDU!".

As long as privately owned press and corporate social media algorithms try to shift the overton window as far right as it can go that's not gonna happen.

Yes 100%. I used to search the same problems over and over again until I started doing this. Plus this way you can also version them with git and deploy them to other devices.
