I guess I’m picky. I don’t like any of these lol. I’d pick 4 off these were all in a drawer together, though.

Of course I’m not worried about dying. I don’t have to foot the bill.

This is the primary reason I quickly stopped using AI art. I was always settling and it was never my idea.

The only way I’ve found it to be useful is promotional images for social media at work. Stuff that no one is paying attention to anyway. And even then, I sometimes have to fight it a couple times to get what I need.

I’ve never seen AI art that was inspired.

Gallium would only be fun for a few seconds

I love how every time I post this, a similar edit is made

Are you even a programmer if you don’t just do everything through ed?

Also, we often disregard our own mental benefit for giving.

You’re specifically asking about B-Movies here. They’ll grab whoever the heck fills the chair.

If it sounds good enough for the story to be told and trick someone into watching it, the goal was achieved. Time for the next movie!

Most of the time, if the dialog is delivered and actors are on set, that’s really all that matters for tax purposes.

I think the truth of it is, good sound engineering costs money, time, or both. I both ran sound and did sound design for local stage theater and I was shocked at how little the designers knew how to make their transitions seamless and avoid clipping, resonant frequencies, static, and a whole mess of other issues, many of which need fixes during recording rather than post.

It took me about 5 years working with audio software before I was making stuff for other people but a lot of other people have the confidence to learn their skill working with live projects, project result be damned. I go back and listen to my early stuff and I hear all sorts of mistakes I didn’t even know I was making.

Access to good hardware/software can also be a major detriment. I’ve had to sacrifice many design ideas due to available tools. When at the end of the day, it comes down to bad audio vs no audio at all, there’s an obvious winner.

I put together an article of my first-hand account of what it was like to see a Formula 1 event, plus some of my proudest pictures.

I’ve been told my style reassembles video game music. Let me know your thoughts!

Spotted this at my local flea market. My first VFD display!

I have to reject any that don’t make the cut.

Everyone knows all the classic stuff you hear in karaoke bars, but I always enjoy artists that can make lyrics that you love singing along to.

I’m not necessarily talking about the best lyrics or the most thoughtful, but the ones that you love belting out with confidence even when a friend is in the car. Think Bohemian Rhapsody scene from Wayne’s World.

I’m curious if there are some lesser-known artists that are just as fun to sing along to, but never got their time on the radio.

This is only my test picture. I’ll be posting a full album from my DSLR later next week.

It is insane just how big these events are and how surprisingly well organized everything has been. Really impressed overall with how alive everything has been.

I had earplugs plus noise canceling headphones on and the engines were still clear as day. Absolutely insane how fast they go. GA is sat right around the sphere and it’s a pretty heavy breaking zone. Even then, trying to track the cars for a good shot proved really challenging. Definitely pushed my skills.

And totally unrelated, but I also learned OneRepublic is responsible for like 90% of the modern pop radio that I hate. So that was fun to sit through…

I’ll be going to see the Las Vegas GP. I’ve never been to a Formula 1 race and don’t know what to expect from the days surrounding the race. Are there any tips you wish you knew before going the first time? I plan on going to the full race weekend and not sure what to bring to make my stay more comfortable. Also, any tips on stops I should make in that area of Vegas while I’m there?
