I think some distros don't expose or create a root password and make you do sudo su. I might be wrong.

Looks like it got too creepy for its own good.

I'm bummed there's no good single player fallout after fallout 4.

The 'At Least' is doing heavy lifting there.

That makes sense, thank you.

Yeah I'm just joking around. I pretty much never use su except in rare cases

Tell me how you can run rm rf / no preserve root without su, I'm waiting.

I don't know if it counts, but I'm learning freecad after getting a 3d printer and it's a great experience.

It's easier to just call su once and run every single command as root rather than having to randomly use sudo for some commands and not for others (/s if it's not obvious)

Yeah I only use sudo once, for the su.

Tried printing the frog from this set at 75% scale, and it came out like this. The original 3mf for this one doesn't include supports. What should I adjust on my printer to get better overhangs without supports?

Added a PEI plate for my Artillery Genius using bull clips, and after leveling the leveling/adhesion test print comes out like this. Is this just me leveling the bed too close to the nozzle, or is it the pei plate not heating up as much as the original glass bed? It's at 60c btw

I was having serious leveling issues with my Ender 3v3 (https://programming.dev/post/42345126), and I tried so many different things like probe calibration and even total factory reset before I finally figured out what the issue was. The z axis camera mount that I added. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6702771. Taking it off fixed the bed leveling issues right away, and after wasting half a spool, I'm finally able to print my rookie designs. Thanks for all your help and advice! I'm so happy to see such an active 3d printing community on lemmy.

This is the model I used: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4572809

I printed these by using the official orca profile from Creality for Orca Slicer: https://wiki.creality.com/en/ender-series/ender-3-v3/quick-start-guide/how-to-use-orca-slicer-with-ender-3-v3

  1. Why are the squares looking so wonky? Which setting is responsible for this?
  2. I see some spots where the prints moved to other places, but I run bed leveling every time. Is it bed warp, or some other profile setting I need to tweak? I wiped the bed with 70% isopropyl alcohol before I printed this, btw

EDIT:

Looks like the issue was with the wobbly table. I placed it on the floor, reran the self tests, and it's now printing a lot better!

I already ordered 1kg hyper pla white from creality ($8). What else I can buy during black Friday? I'm not sure what I'll be printing other than trinkets and household items. These are the ones I currently have in my cart. Please let me know your thoughts and advice.

White petg 1kg from creality $6

Anycubic: petg texture gray, pla+ black, Pla strawberry pink - $26

Please let me know if I should get something else instead.
