Yeah, I’m one of those latter people. When the tinnitus is so bad that it induces vertigo and nausea on a regular basis, among other things, it’s difficult to ignore.

edit: Once I went to get an MRI for it and they were really apologetic about how loud the banging in the machine was going to be, and I fell asleep twice because it was the first time something had covered up the ringing in a while.

I admit I assume it’s a scam attempt. No way in hell I’m clicking that link or going to that website. Report spam and delete.

If it is real, they need to do much better, not that it will matter to me.

Just received this. My name isn’t Daniel and this is the worst scam attempt I’ve received yet.

At the moment: $0

You don’t let people eat in their own rooms that they rent?

Maybe have fewer asshole-ish rules that even “normal” people would find confusing.

edit: appears to be fixed with a recent update!

If I use the right-arrow reply button next to the vote buttons at the bottom of the comment, it opens a reply to the main post instead.

If I use the “Reply” option under the three dot button, it opens a reply to the comment as expected.

I’ll try to get this on github at some point.

edit: observed on iOS 16.7.2, iPhone SE (latest model)

I’ll try to remember to log an issue report on github later, but for now, under the user profile (middle nav button) comments appear as expected, but the Posts tab is empty for me.

I use Signal, that said:

Are they very good friends if they won’t install a single — free — app to stay in touch with you?

Is someone a very good friend if they won’t communicate with you because you won’t use their preferred app? That’s the real question you’ve presented.

You don’t have to compromise your values due to peer pressure.

You seem confused, if you’re trying to talk someone into using your preferred app that they may know nothing about, then you’re the one engaging in peer pressure, not the other way around.

“about Windows 11 when I was in high school”

“used Windows XP since I was 6”

Well, it gets today’s “makes me feel old AF” award.

Oh I see. Moderation. Admirable.

So this is about a 2-3 month supply?

GA people previously complaining about overreaching RICO charges are deeply confused right now.

found on Twitter

I haven't found this feature anywhere. It's often used on reddit to make sure a post's content doesn't disappear if a subreddit gets removed or is shut down for some reason. (edit: or recently wasn't accessible because a subreddit went private in protest or otherwise. Or, more normally, you want a single content page to share in multiple communities for easier edits to one source, etc.) You just post a link to the original. The only thing I can think of to do it here (or on a different instance) is create a community that only myself can post to as a mod, but unsure if such a thing is frowned upon.
