And that is why it would be fun to troll the worldwide players with such a tactic, at least for a little while, but the world ain't funny anymore and they wouldn't do that with arguably the most expected game of the decade.

You don't have hobbies you'd like to be healthy or sane to keep enjoying?

For one I would drop social media time... That's where the toxicity gathers.

I skipped the 3rd gen GBA games and jumped from Soul Silver to Omega Ruby (I played Platinum ages ago) and I agree with you, perhaps is it too much water?

Okay bad joke aside, I maaaybe don't love the 3DS graphics, when I eventually get to play Pokemon X and Moon I'll find out I guess.

Is there any mission as of nowadays that forces you to drive according to traffic laws in any of all the entries?

If not I propose a very annoying one like the Driver tutorial as the GTA VI tutorial.

What the hell, I didn't know they were doing a sequel haha.

It has to do with me, I love tinkering, I can't because I can't buy the Steam Deck officially.

I have never cared about winning Internet arguments, nor I have been surprised with such a reply, so there is a first time for everything I guess.

My point is that there's no reason to think the Switch 2 can't be emulated on the Deck, at least not until we get more information.

Also there is not a reason to believe that it will emulate Switch 2 games... What I can almost guarantee is that it won't be as smooth as it does with Switch 1 games, unless we talk about less demanding games ofc.

The Steam Deck supports 4k60 just fine, just not on the built-in display ofc.

TIL, so docked emulation could be something (I suppose it gets more power plugged in as well).

I crave for the earlier days of the 3DS to happen again, please Nintendo fan base, I have a bit of faith.

I am sorry, I don't think I follow, I am CGNATED anyway, so I need to use VPNs to access my server (if IPv6 is not available, for IPv4 I am experimenting with Tailscale funnels as of now).

It is if you have compared them together.

I haven't recently thought and I am a lifetime Plex pass user (we will see what lifetime truly means sooner or later) and I have still been unaffected by most of the changes Plex has done (watch together is the 1st valuable feature that I have lost), so if you can't expose Jellyfin then it is not better than Plex for me.

Why not?

Let's be objective here, can you really see the Steam Deck emulating the Cyberpunk 2077 game of the Switch 2? I know there is not a reason to do this, but these kinds of achievements are what I mean with "perfect emulation".

But tbf, the deck is relatively old by now and could itself benefit from an upgrade

I have no doubts that a Steam Deck 2 will emulate Switch 2 games... But everyone keeps telling me this won't happen soon enough...

As far as emulation, we at least know Nintendo considered it worth the effort to try to take down all Switch 1 emulators before even revealing fhe Switch 2, probably suggesting it's not going to be hard to emulate.

That is one opinion, my personal one is that they just did it because they can still benefit from the sales of the Switch 1 games as the console is retrocompatible, so of course they would want you to pay for them instead of emulating them... Think of it as when they were actively blocking flashcarts that launched games for the DS in the 3DS.

It'll probably be limited mostly to 2D titles, simple 3D ones, or maybe some hyper-polished first party titles

Perhaps, but what we know as of now is that Metroid Prime 4 was announced to run at 4K 60 FPS/1080p 60 FPS which I think the current Steam Deck will not be able to achieve (it doesn't even have such resolutions), perhaps 720p 120 FPS is doable, but if it can't perfectly emulate the Switch 2 then I don't see it as a viable Switch 2 replacement.

What is your doubt, Valve doesn't sell the Steam Deck officially in Mexico, and I won't pay extra fees to import one.

The game is Metroid Zero Mission, this is the first time I beat a Metroid game, so I decided to start with this one.

I should mention that I used save states and rewind to get the hardest items, but hey, I don't have the time to master all the games I play ¯_(ツ)_/¯

First of all, I am not a psycho for using light mode :p

I use dynamic mode, so I get light mode on the day and dark mode at night, I think having this overlay with dark mode has no visible effect (at least I haven't noticed it with my AMOLED screen), but as you can see it is clearly visible when using light mode.

And now while I am asking for stuff... Can we get the article/link preview as a toggle?

I am having some issues while browsing stuff if I have IPv6 activated (and it is a pain in the ass to deactivate it in Android), I suppose this is an ISP issue... So some image preview takes longer than it should, the same occurs for link previews which can take ridiculous amounts of time. I appreciate the feature and I find it cool, but for my environment it causes more issues than what it offers.

Kudos to the Summit dev, I hope this post doesn't bother you on your vacations!

I couldn't care less about such a thing (it's not like I could use it with Sync for Reddit anyway) but I genuinely thought these gimmicks were already dead?

I definitely recall some redditors commenting on something like "if awards still exist I would give you one right away".

Can I transfer my awards from Reddit to Lemmy? /s

You can see this minor bug in the picture that I shared here.

I don't know if dev is aware, but as I didn't see anyone commenting about it I wanted to share it :)

Long time Kodi and Plex user, it was a matter of time that I started messing around with this.

It kinda sucks that my favorite format, handheld is so low compared with the other hardware (yeah, I'm not considering mobile as handheld lol).

3 hours in the background seems a lot to me.

I started the app clean and configured it from the start (it was a pain in the ass because I migrated my settings from Sync for Reddit lol) and the issue still remains, having this huge background usage prevents my phone from going to deep sleep properly which lends to a bigger battery drain.

EDIT: BTW the issue is gone when I set the app to restricted battery mode instead of optimized... But I'd rather keep it in optimized as it closes less often in the background, that is how I had it with Sync for Reddit, which on average its active background was several minutes only.

EDIT 2:

This is the process that Battery Guru/BBS says shows

job/io.syncapps.lemmy_sync/androidx.work.impl.background.systemjob.SystemJobService#9188

This is the app called Franco Kernel Manager, one of the best kernel managers that are out there... Even when it was outdated (which I think that's the cause it got booted from the PlayStore?).

I used it to check the process of my phone and monitor the active and idle drain mostly, I paid for it a long time ago, but now it just fails to check the licence and it doesn't let me use it fully... I think there must be a cracked APK over there...

EDIT:

Fortunately the app is back in the store and hopefully that update version comes soon enough!

I'm not saying particular genres, we all have our less desired musical genres, I mean music in general.

When I was a child I was very confident to say that I hated music, all kinds, and my cousin used to say that was not possible.

Turns out he was right, and I only hated the teenage music my sister from the 90s used to listen to.

Secretly I enjoyed soundtracks and OSTs from several media, such as animes (digimon openings and battle themes for example) and some TV shows or even videogames.

Then my taste "evolved" and pretty much stayed at rock, heavy metal and alike.

So that little memory lane inspired me to ask about this.
