The only time this makes sense, is if they have a whole digital order thing going, not saying that I like that, but then at least its consistent. What I hate most is if the fucking qr code is just a link to their website, and not even the menu section. Might as well have a sign on the table that says "just google it" or something...

Funny for me it was RDR2. I still think I probably would have liked it if I stuck with it, but 20 minutes in I was told that I would have to regularly clean my gun and hunt to feed my camp etc. and it just felt like doing a bunch of chores and I noped straight out.
Just looked up Onlyoffice and the first banner on their site now reads: Now driven by AI-Powered virtual assistants and smart agents... God damnit..
Yes, I engraved it with a CO2-Laser, I always hate when I cut oranges that taste like onions so I marked one side
I decided this Christmas might be a good opportunity to try something new while also using up a lot of scrap hardwood. So I tried my best to make cutting boards for everyone. I hope they'll hold up.

Not to down talk your experience, politically we definitely have a huge problem with the extreme right wing party passing laws that are extremely problematic. And I would probably also agree that the swiss are possibly more xenophobic than neighbouring countries, especually when it comes to things like aquiring citicenship which is quite frankly insane. One thing I have also heard mentioned from expats though is the concept of the "swiss stare". Basically that we swiss tend to quite directly stare at strangers when they get on a train etc. Being socialized in Switzerland we probably don't notice that we even do it but to foreigners it could possibly feel menacing or hostile. Another thing, Lucerne is very touristy to the point of over tourism and that will create tension anywhere not just in Switzerland, see the whole " tourists go home" movement in spain etc..
Thanks I actually used the up down method with the track saw but from my understanding that's more about the board edges not being 90° which seems to nut be an issue when i measure it, but the hourglass shape wouldn't be affected by that right?
Thanks for the tips, i have some extra boards so maybe i can just practice a bit with the jointer and get a better result, the bench plane also seems like a good option. Though I'm still confused why the tracksaw and parallel guide also gave me the hourglass shape. In the past I used that setup on plywood for similarly long cuts with better results..
I'd say I'm pretty decent at bouldering, and have noticed that some people at the gym have started to ask me how to do problems and stuff, so that's cool.
Woodworking it really depends, sometimes I surprise myself and make something I actually quite like, other times Ill mess up the most simple things again.. But i just started out with my first hardwood project and I'm excited to see how it will turn out.
Sewing I'm very much a beginner and ask my girlfriend for help every step...
I drink it all the time and see it quite the other way round, taste has improved so much in the last ~4-5 years and while maybe not identical, I see it more like oat milk where you get used to a certain taste and then you dont miss cow milk at all. Now I get to drink a cold beer after sports which is just as refreshing, has lots of electrolytes and i dont have to worry about my liver or becoming an alcoholic..
I think animal welfare is the bigger factor for most people avoiding leather, and while artificial leather is just plastic and certainly not great environmentally, traditional leather production is also very very much polluting nature with chemicals (Chromium tanning etc. ) plus it still supports the whole factory farming system which is terrible in its own right. I'm hoping fungus based leather or some lab grown variant will bring a real alternative someday.
