Im still stuck in the past with SD1.5 on A1111, because my GPU is dogshit and all the other UIs Ive tried are either too complicated or too dumbed down.

This comes up every once in a while. Apparently there are a surprising number of people on Lemmy who are still commited to using audible notifications.

That's a dodge worthy of slippery Don himself. We both know that "wishing" someone to die and calling for someone to die are both toxic discourse and doing so where Trump is involved is toxic as well as dangerous.

Kyle was no doubt saying it flippantly to be funny. And Id probably laugh if a friend of mine said it and I was at a private birthday party. I have that luxury because I am not a public figure. Jack Black, however, very much IS a public figure (as is Kyle, albeit somehat less famous,) which brings with it much more scrutiny and no doubt a different calculus.

Again, Kyle said theyre still friends and all is forgiven so this was all just an excuse to insert your toxicity into another lemmy thread.

~~Calling~~Wishing for the assassination of a political figure (especially one who is currently the sitting president, tho iirc, he was a candidate at the time) is pretty widely viewed as a red line and is very dangerous ground to tread for an American public figure, which he is.

Im pretty sure any "mean" thing he did is between him and Gaas, who has said they remain friends and will tour again as the D. Sounds like he is forgiven for anything you may have perceived as "mean." It seems like that should satisfy anyone with genuine concerns about his friend.

Or are you just canceling anyone whose rhetoric you view as insufficiently hateful towards Trump? (Dont answer that, it was rhetorical.)

edit: forgot it was a "wish"

In one word? austerity.

But seriously, she probably is not even close to "universally" disliked. Lemmy (or the Internet in-general) is not a representative sampling of the population. For example, a sizable portion of their population voted for Brexit (many of whom now regret it.) You probably wont hear much from them on Lemmy, tho.

That headline was a roller-coaster for me... (The last few headlines I saw out of Utah read like they are trying to out-do Texas being the insane red state.)

Utah law-makers unanimously approve

Ugh. What stupid shit did they do now?

German-style

Oh god, oh fuck. I cant say I did nazi this coming.

Okay, well that is not where I thought we were going, but cool.

Fossil fuels definitely turbo-charged our technological developement. Cheap portable energy and petrochemicals. Guaranteed to be addictive. And without then, or some other comparable miracle, it would have taken us many times longer to get where we are.

We are like someone who only ever played Civ with cheats and we're going to find out soon how hard the game is without (and... because of) that magic black goo from the ground.

I figured that out once and now I always break that out when someone references the sound of one-hand clapping. It gets me mostly eye-rolls which as a dad are my life's blood.

Another cloud free day in Scotland let me catch almost 9 hours of this huge and lively prom.

As soon as I read the word "Scotland", my brain went back and revised this to be read in Scott Manley's voice.

I agree that China is on the side of China.

My sentence was poorly worded. I was referring specifically to "the chinese" who were in Ukraine fighting for Russia. I would have written China if i meant the nation.

I was annoyed by MAC Randomization on my own network and wondered whether there are any effective attacks to re-id devices.

Sure enough.

AI by itself doesn't bother me per se (I'm not OP.) What bothers me is content is inaccurate or obviously just garbage. Unfortunately, it's the toupee fallacy again.
