Does it matter? If they start doing something bad, you just switch distro.

Same as not every American is bad, not every American product is bad. This one is free and open source, so its ok. And its competition to Microsoft.

Brave browser is American btw. (not swiss). Also it is weird if in "European alternatives" you have e.g. only Asian companies as alternative for Asus (Taiwan). Also also Proton is Swiss, not sure why you have it listed like its American (showing alternatives).

I recently stumbled on this: https://www.unawatch.com/ I am quite curious how it turns out, but if they manage I would be pretty compelled to try. Its Scottish btw.

It would be so cool if that was possible with the new ones too.

You know what, I think I had HAMA once, and it was unable to charge anything...

Is it possible to use Polar completely offline? I mean with Garmin, the Connect app must be connected to internet in order to serve the data and stuff. I tried Gadgetbridge, but the notifications just do not work well.

I would like smartwatch that doesn't need cloud. I want to keep my data on my hardware and display them with software of my choice.

Hot take: keep proton pass, if there is nothing comparable, and use alternatives for everything else.

I see, thank you :)

Actually I don't need it for my phone, but I need USB charger with 10W output (5V,2A). And I would like it not to cost too much, because I need more than one, but if its guaranteed made in Europe... Or any asian made that is not China? I know this is BuyEuropean, but if there is no option, my second rule is no China/US. Thank you

I need to buy some NAS drives. Originally I wanted to go for seagate but they being US company, I have no desire anymore. WD is also US. I know I could opt for Toshiba (Japan) or Synology (Taiwan), both probably excellent options, but I am curious, do we have something european? I didn't find anything. Any experience with the Toshiba or Synology regarding reliability? Thanks
