Are they upset because she isn't drawn in an anime style? If so yikes!

Yes. I wonder what the outcomes of centering the soldiers gult is?

Do we want the solution to be that soldiers have to consider every order given within the historical context of the time to decide the morally correct actions and do them even if it means court martial or death?

Don't get me wrong. I'm okay for soldiers to do this in extreme examples. But I don't think this should be the norm.

I think we should shift the focus to the leaders instead of the soldiers. They are better positioned to make these decisions and have the time to do so.

And it's their job.

If you make them look bad they delete the thread. It's happened to me twice. I consider it a win, but it is sad that others won't see how wacky they are.

They want what they are told to want

Can you explain to me how single-payer healthcare leads to exterminating social groups?

Like I understand there's some wacky left people out there just like there's some wacky right people out there. But like what has Bernie Sanders done to spook y'all?

Ehh, maybe... I figure if it was a plant I would expect it to say something like "I trust the FBI to do the right thing" or "Law enforcement is good".

We likely won't know for a while if at all.

I was under the impression that he was a right-leaning crypto bro that saw a bad CEO and "solved the problem". I don't think he even considered the material conditions of capitalism or the fact that we're in a class war. I think he was close though. Kind of like becoming a lefty without actually talking to any lefties.

In the manifesto I saw he basically apologized to the FBI for causing all the trouble. Letting them know that he acted alone.

He definitely wasn't the type of person I would imagine a CEO killer to be.

I watch Vaush a lot and I haven't seen what you are talking about.

Yeah, I am not surprised that you have disagreements behind Lenin and AES. The two are pretty related and hard to pull apart. I was just surprised that you would disagree with any of his Marxist takes. I think you both agree what the problems are from a Marxist perspective.

As for the sex offenders/sex pest stuff. I don't think he is those things, but I understand I am just one person. From the stuff I have seen it is mostly people that disagree with him that label him as such as a way to get around the fact they don't really have a leg to stand on; Fascists and the like. Not saying that is you of course.

Thanks for taking the time to talk this though by the way. I figure you get hit with a lot of stuff.

No idea, I have only watch him one or two times. Seemed good to me.

I do get that vibe from Vaush occasionally. Unfortunately the attention economy is a real thing and I would be impressed with anyone with the same reach as Vaush wouldn't be doing similar things. I am not sure I would be as far left as I am without his content.

I have been a software engineer of off highway farm equipment for most of my life. I have like 15 years of it. I have just lost the ability to care about it anymore.

I have explored all the things that interest me and now it seems like everything is just turning the crank to completion. A very boring/slow turning with deadline pressure. I am doing less development and more code reviews because I have become a more senor developer.

My position in the company is pretty good and I could probably ride it out until I die or the company picks up on the fact that my output has dropped due to the lack of caring. But that eats at my soul and it isn't fair to my coworkers.

If money wasn't an issue, I would jump to game development but I hear that doesn't pay well or treat their employees well either. I suppose I could start my own company...

I have a wife and we plan to have one kid if that is possible for us.

Burnout is a possibility, but if that is what this is, I am not sure what to do about it.

So here is what I think my options are. I am open to other suggestions:

  1. Stay where I am.
  2. Pivot hard to management where I am.
  3. Try to find a new job within Embedded Systems
  4. Try to do Game Development.
  5. Drop everything, become a philosopher like Diogenes of Sinope

Thanks for your consideration.

Yes, the text in the release says Hebert but some posts on Discord indicate that it was a typo and they meant Herbert.

Looks like around 21 months of development in this one. It looks pretty feature packed.

I enjoy playing Cataclysm DDA.

New Release!

I need to try this game out some time.

New Unvanquished Release. I almost missed it.

I don't know how I feel about the name, but I think it is good that they moved away from minetest.

First I have heard of this, I will have to try it out.
