Doesn't matter.

The initial suggestion was of a ban in 2030 from 10 countries that already had plans of banning fossil fuels from 2030 or sooner.

The 2035 deadline was a compromise to allow the car manufacturers to get up to speed. If they try to prolong that, some countries might just go back to their local legislation and ban the cars even sooner.

EU can potentially claim that such bans are against the free trade in EU and force it through, but they can never actually force anyone to buy the cars.

The decision of switching to EVs is entirely up to the local drivers, regardless of what arbitrary deadline the manufacturers try to lobby through EU.

Even in France and Germany, who produce fossil fuel cars, there are cities with environmental zones banning fossil fuel cars. Just as it today doesn't make any sense for people near Berlin to buy a diesel car that they can't drive in Berlin, every potential car buyer in all of EU are going to have to consider if they can even use or resell a fossil fuel car in their local area within the expected lifetime of a car.

There are medical reasons to place an infusion in the hand instead of at the collarbone or wherever.

Infection are a much larger risk the closer it gets to the heart.

Is it necessary to be "objective" in this case?

It's not like the ICE manufacturing companies are any more objective.

Sometimes there's just a right and wrong, and we don't need 50/50 objectivity to see what's what.

Land can be bought everywhere in all price ranges. The real hurdle is whether you can legally live there or what requirements there are, due to zoning and building codes.

I think the easiest way to get a self sustaining home with as little legal issues as possible is to buy an already legal home with the grid connection, but then just don't use it.

If I were young and single again, I would look into auctions of derelict farms. Tear down the old building and instead build a small totally legal connected up to code cabin with water, waste and electricity connection. Then use the rest of land to do whatever actually interest me, while complying to the bare minimum of legal requirements for that land.

That's definitely an American bastardisation. It's a common word in all European languages with origins from Greek.

To make things more confusing, all these other languages also have the syllables mixed up, but at least consistently so.

Epoch is is from Greek Epi meaning a period of time. It's pronounced with O and rhymes with fuck.

Epic is from Greek Epos meaning story or song. It's pronounced with I and rhymes with dick.

Highly paid bullshit jobs are all about social perception in networks.

The point is to post something that makes it appear as if you're already ahead of the game, and to use as many buzz words as possible so that you will appear in searches, or someone remembers you knowing something about those words.

It does not matter if the "strategy" makes any sense at all. It's not like anyone reads it, or that anyone tries it out, or even if you know anything about it. All these posts with motivational and strategic wisdom are just "tags" for people trying to sell themselves.

The people involved in those games rely on each other to support this self-induced value. It's like "fake it till you make it", with the twist that they never actually do anything. When they fail, they'll hopefully have enough other people involved, so that they can only fail upwards.

The picture is from 1970. John Cleese is 30 or 31 years old in that picture...

Why'd I want my guests to be excited about a good meal? We are having microwaved peas as usual.

Both Europe and US are big enough to have a huge variety in building codes for different climates in different states/countries.
