Now that the corporate media and social media have realized that the DNC is so dysfunctional and unable to do any institutional accountability for poor performance, it is unlikely we will see them in power for decades (ala the GOP for most of the 20th century) they switched sides and allied themselves with the GOP, so their incentive is to just not cover protest at all to suppress dissent and please their new allies on the MAGA right.
