That tends to happen with exponential acceleration.

I’m over “Trump… in his own words.” I want to know what policy makers do as a result of his words, but listening to him is no better than reading all the paper in a trash can at a fortune cookie company.

Nothing like LLMs that are currently popularized as “AI”.

I’m imagining something like Agent Smith in The Matrix.

You DID mean a super hero FOR AIs, right?

Doesn’t Greendale do this every year? I vaguely recall going in the 90s.

Totally agree; I’ve been reserving “Indian” for people from India for the past 40+ years.

I used to get funny looks for it sometimes and people trying to correct me to say “East Indian” — to which my response was always “they’re Indian. Anyone from the West Indies could be called West Indian if they want, but these people aren’t from East India, they’re from India.”

In forums and chats, go places where you can ask questions as much as you can tell people why they’re wrong.

The way to make friends with people is to listen to them.

I think you just misunderstood who fascists consider to be criminals.

They’re back to talking about Ivermectin because it’s an anti parasitic aren’t they? Because of the epidemic of parasitic infections across 45 states right now?

One can only hope….

They’re actually usually optimized to get AI to serve you the download link… or in the case of agentic browsers, just find, download and run it for you.

Old stuff doesn’t get updated. I remember when it all said “Indian Tribe” — and that was long after the move to First Nations.

They are complex carbohydrates; the starches have to be broken down into sugars before they can be processed by our bodies. That process takes energy, but not as much as processing plant matter or even meat.

They can’t have it both ways:

it takes a picture of a car. Most people go, “this makes a lot of sense. I want my kids to be safe.”

If it’s just taking pictures of cars, it’s doing nothing to keep kids safe. I take pictures of cars. Does that somehow make kids safe?

However, if the argument is: “the system knows where all cars in the area are and have been, and so can keep kids safe…” well, that STILL doesn’t keep kids safe, just allows some understanding of what caused the problem after the fact. But it also lets those with access track where every vehicle is. And then tie in the OTHER cameras the system has access to, and you’re no longer tracking cars, you’re tracking people (and dogs, apparently).
