She does know, doesn’t she, that “First Nations” hasn’t been the accepted term in well over a decade?

Indigenous. Easy to say, means only one thing. MLAs should have been using it for years.

While I agree with you, it’s still a moot point as far as I’m concerned. “Indians” are from “India”. It’s long past the time that anyone should be calling Indigenous people “Indians”. Either Findlay is being purposely disrespectful, or completely ignorant.

Totally agree; I’ve been reserving “Indian” for people from India for the past 40+ years.

I used to get funny looks for it sometimes and people trying to correct me to say “East Indian” — to which my response was always “they’re Indian. Anyone from the West Indies could be called West Indian if they want, but these people aren’t from East India, they’re from India.”
