Probably Switzerland has less morons

Yeah, for sure. I’ve relaxed about Trump because I’m so excited that he is burning our health care dollars and defense stock on an idiotic war. So relaxed

Wow, Graham died... I hadn't heard about that.

SO tired of comments like

But reading this post made me sad. The anger and contempt toward Americans who hold different political views only seem to deepen the division in our country.

These people support the most angry, divisive group of assholes who are doing REAL HARM to people, and we're supposed to be "oh that's cool, you just have a different opinion!"

Yes but also bashing conservatives and attacking them isn’t gonna fix the system. It isn’t gonna change anything. If you want real systemic change, we need to stop attacking and work together

"bashing" is stupid, too. It implies that people are just arbitrarily attacking poor defenseless conservatives over nothing just for the sake of it. No, they're being criticized with very good reason. If they want to "work together", maybe stop electing fascist morons and we can go from there.

I think where she lives, if the phone company ceased service the cable company would still provide an option. No idea about line maintenance or other issues though.

The issue for me is also receiving calls. It gets complicated to have multiple numbers or to have to use forwarding when you’re home or not.

My mother would be so confused. She still uses landlines with wireless receivers and an answering machine. She doesn't seem to understand the concept of only having a cell phone.

No, because the way she said it made it clear that was not the case. Also, they did typically drink cheaper beer like Schlitz.

Reminds me of when my brother and I were 18-20 and asked our upstairs neighbors, Wanda and Lou from Austin, to help with buying us a case of beer for New Years Eve. They asked what kind we wanted and we said Budweiser. Wanda said "oh, splurgin!". I guess standard was Natural Light or Busch or something and she saw Budweiser as somewhat elite.

Yes, if you're at the sort of party where there is a keg of beer, or at a large family picnic especially. They're the standard disposable cup for situations where the hosts wouldn't have enough cups for everyone and don't want to deal with potential loss and breakage.
