and this is why i consider a partner a prerequisite for a lot of my improved mental health, my lizard brain needs that.. hole.. filled before it can quiet down and let me get on with things.

huh? oh fuck, what year is it?

yeah, it's the person using the camera who is creative.

AI is a camera without a user, thus incapable of creativity just the same as a mountain isn't creative.

i keep forgetting that this isn't standard, like duh how else would a map app work?

but yeah no it's just normal for most people that they can't use the map without internet 🫠

i pray that day never comes because i would cease to have existed

this is why i tend to think about AI images like a camera, it's not creative but it can make things that look nice, and then we can take inspiration to make something creative just like when we walk outside and look at the per definion uncreative physical landscape.

yeah but that should only appy to the perpetrator, not the victim
if you do apply it to the victim it should be the other way round, if they're poor they should get more money, not less

i don't see in what universe it would make sense to give the victim of defamation less money because they're not popular

getting paid for their work, ideally
which is why people hate AI, because it means people do not get paid for their work

you seem to be talking about a specific kind of content, completely ignoring that AI can be made to fart out anything you want.

Like the whole point is that it just takes parts of what it's been fed and recombines it into an output, right? so it only makes sense that it should be capable of making beautiful things, because it was fed beautiful things. if you insist that everything AI models put out is ugly then you're kinda implying that all art is ugly, which obviously cannot be true.

AI art is soulless, which is a very different thing from being ugly. Most corporate things are surface-level pretty but fundamentally soulless.
