I mean... yes
SkaveRat
I had issues in like... 2010 or so. But not for about a decade
Because that's the platform that needs to hear it
Circlejerk preaching to the choir is fun, but doesn't reach the people who need to hear it
Had a similar discussion multiple times already.
"I can't give you an estimate. There are way too many unknowns in there"
"Okay. But what if you still give me one?"
Openly shows screen where I roll a random number between 10 and 50 "23 days"
"But why so long?"
"..."
that's why you get tinted windows
Maybe. But if I had to guess, it's also not really easy to prove, if you didn't also record some evidence back then.
"It was Bob and me" isn't really a good story, if you can't really show for it. Also, remembering the details on how it was done will also be spotty at best
Why don't you send me a recording and I'll let you know
if they manage to make it an actual good product and also not host it in the US, they might even be able to pull it off
I really depends on the type of museum and what artifact they are showing
"what a ripoff, I got the original instead of a replica I paid for! 0/5 stars"
there is or was a city in China where making hand reproductions is their main industry, but it sounds like you specifically went looking so that’s not a surprise.
You're talking about Dafen:

Looks like it still exists, but I heard info that they closed a lot down in the recent years. Although it's second-hand info, so take it with a grain of salt
while I haven't seen the full video yet, your take is quite a bad faith one.
This is about making art that does not (primarily) care what the majority of the fans at the moment of creation think is good.
If you do this, you will only create a mass market grey slop of lukewarm "eh, good enough" art that has all its edges filed off.
If artist would have only cared what fans think, we would not have gotten TNG. That show was seen as blasphemous to star trek fans before it released. "A show without kirk and spock? NEVER!"
And yet, TNG era trek is seen as a high point in trek history.
Does this always work out? Of course not. But the first thought of an artist should never be "I hope every fan out there will like this". Because that will just neve be the case
