Air North is Great, I wish they flew everywhere

Yeah, also I don't know if they are biologists/foresters but hopefully they use native or at least compatible seeds for the areas. There are lots of grass types which can become invasive and destroy habitat for the local wildlife if they use the wrong species.

Where I live we just use helicopters, and mostly only because it's mountainous so we want to establish the grass back as quickly as possible before the rain hits and washes all the soil away into the rivers.

And no one has to work, they are provided with everything they need. Almost like a universal basic income or something.

I mean, I kind of do as long as they can make it correct and there are jobs.

Canada needs more major cities. We keep expanding Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, etc. but why not expand smaller cities? Attract business there and then instead of five cities with 3 million people we can have 15 cities with 1 million people.

Gives people more choice on where to live if they want a populated area with services, allows for more eco friendly development and less land intensive building, etc.

My Subaru can beat that

Never really made sense to me, loose all the arrows at once and then give a break between volleys? Gives everyone a chance to hide behind their shield, and then advance when it's clear. Unless volleys are perfectly timed between multiple rows of archers.

Random arrows flying constantly never gives the enemy a chance to feel safe since it's a constant barrage, and there's no wasted time for the archers needing to wait for the command to fire.

I didn't think I was old until this post... I'm like the youngest millennial you could be.

There are many species which bite humans, but you are right that it's only the females which bite.

There are only a few species which don't bite at all and are fully just straight up pollinators, but most species do bite something. Some are specialized and mostly feed on birds while others mostly feed on amphibians and reptiles, but most will bite pretty much anything that breathes. There are even some species which specialize in biting fish.

You still try to kill them, but at least the ones you miss will end up dying anyways. If enough people do it, maybe mosquitos will evolve to avoid humans entirely lol

Not bad topped with a bit of salt and pepper, but plain is just boring

Some of you may see this in wonderpicks in the next few hours.

I am genuinely curious. I am a person who is 80% anti-corporation and I had no idea that this community existed until it popped up on the everything posts. I imagine there are probably many communities or subreddits dedicated to specific companies like Tesla I guess which is the first thing that came to mind when I tried to think, or Google. But Intel seems a bit off the beaten path which I suppose is what triggered my question.

My first instinct is that this is a community created by the company itself for advertisement purposes which I also despise immensely as i see advertisements as nothing short of propaganda for companies vs countries.

Why not post everything that would go here to a community for CPUs? AI? Or just a general PC components community? Why specifically Intel? It just kind of blows my mind that people follow and subscribe to specific companies. It just feels like people subscribing to People magazine to follow Kim Kardashian or whatever (which I also don't understand).

Sorry if it feels judgy or whatever but I just had to ask after discovering that this community existed. I would have posted even if it were a [email protected] or a [email protected]. maybe not, maybe. Intel is definitely a little more niche which piqued my interest as to the reasoning. I don't know. Just curious.

Maybe I am just incredibly unlucky but I feel like the wonder picks is 100% rigged.

One would assume that with 5 cards to pick you have a 20% chance to get the card you want. Unless it has hidden mechanics where the rarer the card, the more unlikely it is you are to get it, which should be stated somewhere, I am under the assumption that it should be equal chance for any card shown especially since you already use more resources to choose the wonder pick options which have rarer cards.

I have probably done at least 50+ wonder picks over the past few weeks and literally only once have I gotten the card I chose the pick to try and get.

That's a less than 2% chance, not a 20% chance. In fact, It seems to specifically give you the worst card out of the lot the majority of the time. Like a pidgey or something.

Just venting, as it's legalized gambling targeted towards children through video games as well and I actually quite despise it despite it being one of the only ways to get specific cards at the moment.

My PC constantly freezes if I'm not playing a game or have a game running.

✅ If I'm playing a game, it's fine.

✅ If I have a game running in the background while doing other stuff, it's fine.

❌ If I leave my PC while playing a game and the lock screen pops up, it will freeze.

❌ If I do anything other than gaming, such as browsing the web or digital art, PC will freeze.

❌ If PC goes to sleep overnight, it will freeze.

The frozen PC will typically show no error code and display will show "no input" until I hard reset.

If I hard reset, it often won't successfully turn back on unless I move the mouse while it's resetting, otherwise it will freeze again on the windows loading screen.

Sometimes I will actually get a blue screen with the error code of DPC_Watchdog_Error or something like that.

Anyone know where I should look first to try and fix this? It's been happening for weeks now and it's driving me crazy. I can't figure it out.

Just bought a ROG STRIX 850w PSU and it came with this monstrosity of a cable that I've never seen before.

The two ends are entwined between eachother in a way that you can't un-entangle without popping an end piece off

Is this an actual real cable design or is it mis-manufactured? It offends my sensibilities.

Hello,

I am looking for some advice to help me out at my job. Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask.

So, basically my boss is a complete technophobe and all of our data is stored across multiple excel files in drop box and I'm looking for a way to change that into a centralized database. I know my way around a computer but writing code is not something I have ever been able to grasp well.

The main issue with our situation is that our workers are all completely remote, and no I don't mean work from home in the suburbs from a home office. They use little laptops with no data connection and go out gathering data every day from a variety of locations, sometimes not even cell coverage.

We need up to 20 people entering data all day long and then updating a centralized database at the end of the day when they get back home and have internet connection. It will generally all be new entries, no one will need to be updating old entries.

It would be nice to have some sort of data entry form in drop box and a centralized database on our local server at head office which pulls the data at the end of each day. Field workers would also need access to certain data such as addresses, contact info, maps, photos, historical data, etc. but not all of it. For example the worker in City A only needs access to the historical data from records in and around City A, and workers in City B only need access to records involving City B.

Is there any recommended options for software which can achieve this? It needs to be relatively user friendly and simple as our workers are typically biology oriented summer students, not programmers.
