You say men are turning their backs on society. I would argue it's the other way round. Modern society has lots of problems unfortunately, and can be quite hostile especially to men.

I at least saw it a few days before, but forgot to move over. Honestly it's getting annoying. I have been through 3 different servers all of which have shutdown including fmhy and antemerridiem.
Yes. Though it depends on what you want. If you are willing to learn some stuff, and don't mind doing some maintenance, then CachyOS is hard to beat. It's fast, up to date, has packages for basically everything, and the documentation from both them and from arch linux the parent distribution is great. Otherwise Linux Mint, PopOS, Aurora, and OpenSUSE are all good options. I wouldn't recommend using Ubuntu directly anymore because of the enshitification canonical have engaged in. Debian is always good, but might not be what you are looking for in terms of ease of use or being up to date.
They also had pretty strict CPU requirements. Mostly only 8th gen and newer, or a ryzen, would be required.

What is groundwork? I haven't heard this term before. Is it things like protesting and voting? Propagnda? Having conversations with everyday people? Or are those something else?
Yes this is very true. I think if anything they go hand in hand, if society is hostile towards you, you are equally more likely to turn your back on it. If you start turning away from society, people are more hostile, so it reinforces that decision. It's still a systematic failing though. Society should be pulling people back from the brink, not pushing them further.
