  1. By 1940 everyone who was able to say that was already not in a position to say anything. US is just at the beginning of the journey.

You can always move to another instance. The instance I joined first is very lovely but they're a bit heavy on defederation, so half of the comments are unavailable. It's actually very nice, but fomo is too strong with me. When I feel depressed by humanity, I switch back to that one again and feel better, not seeing all the bullshit.

By sitting on your ass dreaming of firebombing Wallmart, and spamming the word genocide all over the internet, you collectively chose the latter. Now you pretend you're going to push someone somewhere or build something. But you weren't able to build enough momentum to go vote once, with this skill and energy, the only community you're going to be supporting is a community of fungi between your toes.
I don't know, maybe you personally did everything correctly (it's the internet afterall, we're all perfect here on anonimous forums), but judging by this conversation, I assume you were among the online forces trying to come up with new and exciting ways to combine the words genocide and joe together. Which, undeniably, led to some people, when facing the unfortunately real dichotomy of american general election, chosing the dark path.

It's a portable gaming console with in-built gaming controls. What do you think it is?

Why didn’t you say that?!

I... I did. The whole song and dance I performed was exactly because I did.

Damn, if only there was a commend that I made explaining in exactly one sentence why I think your push for "how much danger in Neutrons should the government exurb" is nonsense.
Oh, wait, there is one, you just refused to engage with it.

Of course it's not enough. It's all you have. There is no other big force that can do anything in US. Progressive movement doesn't exist, and whatever disjointed groups are out there can't even elect a representative if their life depends on it (it does). The sad truth is, you either support status quo party in their lukewarm attempts to combat the darkness, or you don't, and darkness consumes you.
America chose the latter, and nobody forced them to make this choice, they did it by themselves.

Most people didn't grew up with Windows or Mac, that was a blip in tine, most people grew up with a phone. When it comes to PC they're a blank slate, they will have as much familiarity with the idea of a Windows start menus as they are with Linux console. That is to say, they saw it in a movie.
