Point number 1 for sure.

Favoriting/liking is especially a good thing to do with photo posts, as pixelfed emphasizes likes over boosts and I think a lot of photographers and artists appreciate likes more than your average poster.

I didn't know that favourites factor into the trending algorithm. Good to know.

These services are mainly relevant for PC/browser users. Apps should be able to resolve the original links to open them natively (at least Boost does that). And with Lemmy 1.0 coming up this will be in the codebase of Lemmy itself.

That sounds interesting - especially compared to OsmAnd whose navigation for going by foot is always completely off on time estimates for me

For shows and movies, see the discussion here: https://lemmy.world/post/27460253 (instance-agnostic link: https://lemsha.re/https://lemmy.world/post/27460253)

Justwatch also has a "made in europe" category: https://www.justwatch.com/de/made-in-europe

Or do you mean streaming services?

I'm not even sure if Disney has any free Spiderman appearances for Avengers movies left in their current contract with Sony

Emphasis on this part of his quote here:

"[to] some of my friends who are critics, I said, 'I think you guys missed it. I think you guys got it wrong.'" "

And then says that he feels it is way more important that the audiences like it rather than the critics.

intonates "We built this city" 🎵

Great episode:

  • Musk getting fucked over by the realities of the major job.
  • Matt's case of the week.
  • Couple therapy, especially with the Adam twist at the end of the episode.
  • the Frank scene and Matt being forced to talk about Foggy took the crown
  • the absolutely psychopathic killer being teased at the start and end of the episode. For a minute I thought he was Frank's next victim and we're gonna see that at the end there

A sim is in the end just that: a sim. Let's talk when he's driven the actual car for a session.

"No, you see it's Yiddish!"

Its the front and rear facing cameras to monitor wing flexibility that the FIA wants. Team has been referred to the stewards

During the last in-person class I taught at RootsTech, on Saturday afternoon, I asked attendees which tech announcements they were most excited about. The answers included Ancestry’s upcoming clustering tool, FamilySearch’s new catalog, Ancestry Networks, and the FamilySearch Together app.

These are just a few of the many exciting announcements made at RootsTech 2025! It’s fun to see so many companies announce new technology that will help us with our genealogy research.

Here are a few of our favorites:

On May 8, 1971, a freelance photojournalist was flying over central Vietnam when he looked down and saw something unexpected: A huge peace sign that had been carved into the landscape near Camp Eagle, home of the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.

Fifty-four years have passed since the photo was taken, but the person who created the peace sign was a mystery.

Until now.
