Some people get the nuance and abide. Some people get the nuance and choose to troll. Some people really do not get it due to an inability to understand social concepts. ‘Mental reasons’. The latter cannot be expected to possess common sense.

I liked season 1. Sabine came across as spoiled and annoying in the early episodes. Probably could have handled that differently. We got Thrawn, and we got the Nightsisters. Cool. Ezra was a bit disappointing. Meh. The space whales are kinda weird, but whatever. Plot devices. We got a couple of great scenes from Hayden which was a good fist pumping moment. I hope season 2 is better. I’d like to see Snips show a little more personality closer to her character from the clone wars series, or at least make me believe she’s the same character.

Bob Parr not ‘Paar’. Easily mistaken if you’re from Russia or not from a western country.

Someone has to work. Someone has to produce. If you don’t want to work and yet reap the rewards off of the backs of others that have have wrought, then you’re no better than a leech. A parasite. A drag on society.

Look kids. If you wanna get Conjunctivitis, E. Coli, Hepatitis, or Tapeworms, in addition to your STD. By all means keep licking the chocolate starfish. You do you. But you don’t have to censor the word ‘ass’ if that’s your behavior.

First layer too close as everyone has said, but I’ve also seen that effect when the flow rate is too high.

Substack is, just as a reminder, a political project made by extremists with a goal of normalizing a radical, hateful agenda by co-opting well-intentioned creators' work in service of cross-promoting attacks on the vulnerable.

Yeah. That’s not the truth of the matter. That’s someone disagreeing with some content they publish and deciding to cancel them. Medium does the same shit. You pay them. Write whatever drivel you want. They host and publish it. People chose to pay for the writers content. They’re making money. You get a platform. Substack is a business. Businesses exist to profit. There are plenty of credible writers on Substack, but someone read something distasteful on the fringe, and got a hate boner and decided to label them “extremeists”. Same shit we see every day. The solution is don’t pay for the articles you don’t like. If someone is espousing the shit the article claims then don’t pay money to the authors. If I had control to silence you or this articles author would that make this a fair and just society? No, it would be extreme.

I was headed back home 1200 miles when at the first gas stop I let my bike fall over. I tried to park it away from the gas pumps to get off and stretch my legs. The spot I chose (poorly) was unleveled and the wind caught it and pushed it over. The tip over scratched the saddle bag and broke my brake lever. At my next stop I found an auto parts store for some steel stick epoxy to temporarily ‘weld’ the lever back together. I let it cure for a few 30 minutes before setting off angain, and then a few hours before using it properly, but that only lasted a few hundred miles. Everything is an easy fix, but damn I was utterly deflated the rest of the trip with my scratches of shame.
