My humble contribution, Kai Winn

For Archer I can also imagine:

Rod Stewart's "Faith of the Heart"

Chumbawumba's "Tubthumping"

Katy Perry's "Roar"

For Janeway the only song that comes to mind is Rage's "Killing in the Name of" because fuck you she won't do what you tell her.

RIP Escapist Magazine

This reminds of a scene from a movie I recently saw.

The “founder” of McDonalds hyping up fake powder milkshakes for franchisees so they don’t have to spend money on real ice cream.

The enshittification marches on.

Ahh Deathwish I haven’t thought about that in years but yeah it does have white flight, brown gangs, and one NYC architect-cum-vigilante savior.

Dare I ask you to go further?

What’s an extreme example of a crypto-rightwing-coded-80s-flick?

I won’t say no to more of this

My brutal but fair take:

I feel the bigwigs for Star Trek would sacrifice us all, in a heartbeat, for their own Grogu to get the kiddos buying merch.

I had to blow the dust off this one https://conanzeromus.ytmnd.com/

praised for its seamless open world, amazing bosses and freedom of choice.

repetive mini bosses and dungeons, rather empty open stretches in the overworld

These can be true statements from players with different engagement levels.

If you only do the content you stumble across toward the end, it may well feel boundless.

But if you cleared every annoying catacomb, every gaol, etc then you start to see the seams and artifice.

I guess the boss funneling is accurate, because the entry toward the Morgott bottleneck is technically a funnel.

In fairness I adore the bosses because they made me level up as a player and now Consort Radahn is my absolute favorite boss to spank.

The real universal praise should be for the jump button 🙏

Hell ya! One of Quark’s finest scenes:

They have weapons. You have weapons. Everyone has weapons. But right now, no one has a clear advantage. So the price of peace is at an all-time low. This is the perfect time to sit down and hammer out an agreement. Don't you get it? Attacking the Cardassians now will only escalate the conflict and make peace more expensive in the long run. Now, I ask you, is that logical?

Possibly unpopular opinion: Harbinger is one of the absolute best episodes of Enterprise

These episodes live rent-free in my head.

They cranked it up way past 10, all the way to 24.

I look at you, and I see the person I was three years ago. The explorer that my father wanted me to be. I lost something out there, and I don't know how to get it back.

This one hit me hard after everything that happened.

I'm finding it a very root-beer-flavored entry in the franchise.
